According to Italian News, the RSF will make sure that, should she not be able to make it to Nationals, she would still be eligible to go to Euros and, of course Olympics.

People transfer their dislike regarding Medvedeva way too easily here to find their hidden agenda :noshake: And I say that as someone who does not like Evgenia either but I just wish her speedy & controlled recovery. I think that withdrawing from GPF is the best solution for her, and from Nationals too as she won't have time to train properly for that. Can't Evgenia even get injured like a normal skater without controversy & people assuming the worst? Maybe wish her well instead of starting 1000 conspiracy theories about doping, suspicious timing(huh?), astrology, etc.? When would be a non-suspicious time for her to announce her injury? If she waited until the last minute people would have a problem with that, too.
My guess is she will not be at the GPF and even Nationals will be pushing it. If I read the reports correctly, this occurred over the summer. Her 2 falls during the 2 GP events can be attributed to it. My read is that her continuing to skate on it has made it worse to the point she now needs "plaster." I think she will be lucky to have it healed and with enough time to get backing into her regular training routine in time for the Olympics.
The question is how she uses that "rest and repair" time. Lots of athletes come back stronger if they and their coaches use the time wisely.
I am certainly not counting her out for an OGM.

According to the translation she is still expected to compete. :disagree: She shouldn't take the risk during such an important season.
