Long, boring story on the magnet...I need to start thinking about gifts for future competitions! I'm open to any and all ideas! :clapper:

Predictions thread tally so far for GPF gold: Shoma - 39, Nathan - 15, Jason - 1. Looking forward to it!

I think you outdid yourself with Calvin. That will be hard to top!

What about a pillow reminding him to use lip balm? Everyone keeps giving him lip balm but he doesn't seem to use it much. :scratch2:

These predictions threads... Initially more people were predicting a win for Nathan, then eventually the Shoma votes came in. I'm trying not to be too invested because I will still be a Shoma fan regardless of what happens, but I know that once the competition rolls around, I'll be nervous as heck and wanting desperately for him to win. :drama::dbana::hap10::ddevil: Which now reminds me to go look at the schedules for live viewing. :coffee:

Thank you Jenni for telling us about your experience! :thank: The costumes seem to get sparklier and sparklier! It is quite extraordinary that he's able to watch other skaters and not have that affect him (at least not really in negative way). He's doing his thing and it seems to be working :)

Is he seriously singing about meat??? :laugh2: Japanese intonation is very different from Finnish so I can't really tell if he's just repeating yakiniku or actually humming to something.

Bell, he's not singing, but answering to the Kateigaho's interviewer. he answered, "I love meat but don't want to eat meats cooked in the same way in a day, for instance, korean bbq(=yakiniku) , korean bbq, steak? that sounds nice. But bbq, bbq, bbq...three times? no, too much for me."

ah..yes many uploaded Shoma's 20th photos right? all photos and shooting movies are found in sns everywhere, he's super cool...💕
now GPF week...ah, time flies. I'm getting excited.

This is a little late, but I have been meaning to post some of Jonathan Beyer's comments on TSL from IdF. I know he (and Dave too) are not everyone's cup of tea, but I thought Jonathan's comments were very interesting for this competition. They were more meaningful because he attended this particular event in person. I found his remarks about the Winter Prince to be a little worrisome, but hopefully Sho's bad condition is a thing of the past now!

Jonathan said when his group came out for the 6 minute warm up, Shoma looked really, really stiff -- almost like an old man who couldn't bend his knees. It seemed like it took him the entire 6 minutes to get to the point where he was skating more smoothly. J. felt really worried when he saw him. He wasn't a big fan of how the judging went, but in the end, the ranking of the skaters was appropriate.

J. compared Javi's and Shoma's performance manners and said that Javi performs in an outward manner to the audience which is very appealing. He said Shoma is equally appealing but is very different in that he draws you in to his skating.

Cute fan art! Arriba remember the cabbage patch dolls? Now we literally have Shoma head cabbage. 😂

^^^Oops, I attempted to delete that because I noticed it was posted a few pages back by Hronop. Sorry for the :otopic: but am I the only one who is having trouble deleting posts? I used to just click EDIT POST and then it was possible to delete.

I noticed that you deleted your post. Now folks are going to think I am talking to myself. lol  :dbana:

Maybe the delete function changed on one of the upgrades to the site.

Don't bother deleting duplicate posts. Seriously, it's all good.

ETA- You're right, though. I just now tried to delete this post (as a test), but there's no longer the option to delete, only edit. Weird.

Don't know why but I started getting very nervous when I watched this video of the men who are in the GPF. :roll9:

Yup. Sho has some real competition and he does not have his teammate Yuzu as a buffer with him.
Sho and Nathan need to be on their A game at GPF cuz the other men will gunning for them and as we know the other men
are very capable of putting up big numbers. I have a feeling it is going to be a nail-biter. Can't wait!

Here's a great prediction of life post GPF :hpull:  Let's try to enjoy it as much as we can! Shoma can do it :hap10:

I'm getting more nervous although the Final result is not going to be bad, I know it. If Shoma doesn't win, then that will motivate him. If he does win, it will also keep his motivation going. All in all, it's a win!

Do you guys think that Shoma will go to 4CC? I wonder why he did so many competitions last season....
