actually Mr Amano was not a judge but the tech specialist. so that should shut the people who yell Shoma URs up (it won't). That he managed to get all level 4s on spins and footwork with mr Amano is also telling.
Actually i really enjoyed his winter. Loved the new costume and i thought he really skated beautifully. the no combo is annoying though but considering how nervous and downright scared he looked in warm-up and before the program i was quite happy with what he did.
for the sweat stains I always thought he doesn't sweat that much tbh. He sweats from his face/ hair but he doesn't seem to sweat too much in general
Thank you for the info about Mr. Amano. I just heard about him a couple of days ago and did not realize he was a tech specialist. So the mystery continues who
is Judge 8.
LOL Sho will still have his naysayers even with the harsh Mr. Amano on the tech panel.

I read a post on Twitter earlier, remembering how Shoma said (in the TV show where he did the darts contest) that he would skate naked if he could, and he's now halfway there.
The fans in this fandom are hilarious! Is this the team's way of declaring that he's an adult now??
:agree: I think he just doesn't have a lot of sweat glands in certain areas, just as he's not a hairy type of guy.
The clean-looking ones are the best! (Although I must admit that some men look better when they're a bit rugged...makes me wonder how Shoma would look with facial and chest hair... Ugh. :noshake
He absolutely is. His skin looks (and probably actually is) so smooth except his face because it is cracking. Sorry I know I sound like a pervert but I am just stating facts![]()
My gosh, what SP? I've been bothered all day by that costume! There's barely any fabric on the top!I read a post on Twitter earlier, remembering how Shoma said (in the TV show where he did the darts contest) that he would skate naked if he could, and he's now halfway there.

The new costume has all the best parts of what I liked about the summer shows costume and gets rid of what I didn't like (no illusion mesh!) and even adds purple and feathers and I love it!!!
I'm wondering which costume he'll actually wear in future competitions. The white and black one (when the pants part became black, I mean) is really pretty as well. They give different impressions. So, a potential score of 107.56 [(18.06-7.33) +96.83]? I hope we see it this season!
Actually, I do believe Shoma is capable of more -- his 3A was far from ideal yesterday, he has shown throughout the season that he can nail this element with +2.5/+3 GOE. 4F was good overall, but not ideal either. His PCS could be higher, at least ca. 47 or higher (surely not 45.99 he got at Nats), if he skates really well. So, I think something like 110 is the score he can achieve if he shines in this program. But this is all still the potential that he needs to realize and convert into something practical in his skating, and it's a pity he has not yet shown this kind of potential to judges this season. He will need a perfect SP at the Olympics if he wants to fight for gold...
I think if he has a mistake in the SP and is 5 points off 100 he can still fight for the Gold in PC. Of course it depends on the other skaters, but Shoma's LP perfectly skated is hard to beat from all the men. So if the SP is not pristine clean there is still a chance.
My guess is that 100 will be a minimum score for entering the final warm-up group in the LP... Of course, there's always a chance anyway, but he certainly needs to be in this final group skaters to compete for the podium, and any mistake in the SP will be costly... I do believe he can skate clean at the Olympics.
