Wasn’t it a broken tibia though. I’d never heard anything about her back and during her recovery she seemed quite able to remain flexible and stretch the upper body. It’s surprising and sad...she is an amazing girl who will be missed.

She tried in pairs so far as I know, but as she mentioned: her back gave up.
Same story like Pogo's ... however, I am not sure if Pogo's back-story is not an excuse for psychological problems.

Gubanova doesn't typically do well at jr. nationals.
She'll have to be perfect and then some to beat Eteri's girls...

She’ll need more than that. She was solid at Senior Nationals and they roasted her compared to Alena in the FS. I doubt she stands much chance with the fed in this field. I’m just hoping she can go senior next year and skate in front of judges that appreciate her. Russian Field is so deep it’s easy to get lost in it without the proper backing.

I have so many favorites here though that it’ll be really tough to get upset about anything other than errors the girls make :pray:

Yeah, Alenka's SP stsq is one of the best! I wish she would work more or her musicality and artistry, but still, what a mastery skating for the 12 yo kid!

Nastya Gubanova's stsq is the best, I guess. Didn't see such effortless and flawless skating from any other girl. She is just perfection, but struggles with puberty this season, though.

And I'd also advise you to check this thread. There are many supernovas, which will shine on the ice very soon. Some of them have incredible qualities for their age.

I still don't really get this stance of yours... Tarakanova's skating for example is quite a bit better, easily. I also have Kostornaia better by quite clear a margin.

In terms of basic skating, Tarakanova is quite unmatched in Russia.

that girl is underestimated and at Russ.Nationals underscored. She is perfect if she skates clean-
