What are you listening to right now?

Canadians!!!!!!! Are you freaking out about the proposed change to your National Anthem? Or, do you think it's cool?

I know it's similar to last year's winner, but I really liked Amar pelos dois, even though my whole family hated it (and then it won :devil:) and I just thought this was so relaxed and refreshing.
edit: to clarify, this was for our Eurovision entry :laugh:
 
John Williams turns 86 tomorrow and, along with the all incredible film scores he's composed, he's also written several Olympic fanfares which we will undoubtably be hearing snippets of over the next few weeks:

Olympic Fanfare and Theme 1984 (Los Angeles)

Summon the Heroes 1996 (Atlanta)

Call of the Champions 2002 (Salt Lake City)

This piece is not by John Williams, but it's not the Olympics without remembering the torch theme by Angelo Badalamenti from the 1992 Barcelona Olympics

I just collaborated to write a song with a couple of friends and the vocalist kept obsessing over Grace VanderWaal and playing us her ridiculously amazing voice in our downtime moments. These songs for whatever reason stuck with me.

It’s unreal she has so much power and especially the amount of control over her range at only 14 yrs old. Kids these days :reye:

ETA: I really hadn’t heard of her before my friend pointed her out the other day over s casual recording session. Last night after making this post I wound following the YouTube links and discovered that she won America’s Got Talent and really had an inspirational run. If you like her music above the link below will blow your mind and warm your heart if you haven’t seen it. She literally stole the show and hearts of millions of people. I had no idea!

*longs to participate in this thread but only really listens to Audiobooks*

I find myself singing Adele "Send my love to your new lover" all the time. It's got a nice calypso sound to it.

OH..and disgustingly I've started singing Belly's Man Listen all the time. I actually turn to the dogs I'm pet sitting and say that to them.."Man listen..."
Also..my best friend and I are pretty ridiculous when Young, Dumb and Broke comes on the radio.
