2017-18 State of Russian Ladies skating

At what time does the Evgenia/Alina documentary go up on YouTube tomorrow?? I’m so excited!

I watched now on Live. Very beautiful doc actual on Dec 2016 (Russian Nationals 2017). So sad that can't record the air bcs technical problems. I'll try to rec else on the repeat

who decides on who goes for sp/lp in Team event? Do the coaches have a group discussion or what?

I don’t know, but i guess the Russian fed makes the final choice, after maybe taking into account preferences of the skaters (do they want to do one or both events). Or maybe they don’t take into acccount what they want and just pick whoever they think I said best for that segment.

Another thing, did I miss an announcement that Zhenya was doing the sp? I saw her name in the starting list, so I know she’s doing it, but was there ever an official announcement in the last week or so?

So, Zhenya has her lucky order and is skating last 🙌
Skate order in the SP (team or individual) is based on World standing. So she should skate last in the ladies SP as well since she still has the #1 World ranking. (Sotskova is #3; Zagitova #5).

This is a fake news... the source is deleted.
and
http://www.sport-express.ru/olympic...a-ldu-v-koree-polchasa-sovershenstva-1369994/ here. Just some novice journalist assumed it, only because Zhenya used some napkins. :disapp: She always uses them.
Anyway it means about nothing.
At late December 2012 before FS of Nationals Tuktamysheva had very hard hold, she could not train at morning practice just before FS, Mishin wanted her to WD. But she competed and won.

2012? I didn't know she won nationals in that season. I'm clueless apparently.

BTW.. I have no idea how skaters manage if they get an upper respiratory track infection because the top drugs -Ventolin and pseudoephedrine are both, I believe, on the banned list. It must be miserable for them.

I was intrigued when Zhenya said she started to really get along with Eteri and to understand her approach only 2 years ago, because that's the time when her winning spree begun :handw:

The documentary started live 17 minutes ago. https://rtd.rt.com/on-air/

I was expecting to see something like this. Amazing documentary about little ballerinas. Very interesting and pretty informative. Instead of this, instead of showing some parts of trainings, like, "one day with Eteri and girls", they're telling boring stories from their biography and showing last year videos from competitions, which everybody has already read and seen x100 times. Just ugh. Nothing interesting at all. What a shame.

My reaction as well. It felt outdated because there has been a lot going on since last years' Nationals.
