Gabriella Papadakis & Guillaume Cizeron

First post, hello everyone ;)

I registered because being a lurker was becoming difficult with the lunacy of some fans, now I can hit the ignore button before facepalming 30 times/page wich is great! STOP the conspiracy bs please, it's embarrassing. Also being french, the nipplegate mini drama is something I literally don't understand, cultural gap indeed. Have to admit it comes down as pretty immature afaic... anyway, sorry needed to get that of my chest lol.

Nice to see lots of people staying positive here.

Hi citron ! Welcome and post often :agree:

Being French too it's clearly not about the nipple, nobody cares about that. Everyone will forget it tomorrow or after tomorrow... It's the pictures that are annoying to people, how dare they.

We stay positive, cannot do much better than that

We don't care about the nipple, it wasn't ugly btw. The problem was that they were distracted all the way long and couldn't move like they wanted.

I'll try to do my best

Let's hope they're sleeping well, no doubt they'll fight tooth and nail.

Welcome citron! I'm pretty new myself, but I never lurked so I had no idea this was such a polarized event/two teams. I also didn't know there was an ignore button but will make use of that now so thanks for the inadvertent suggestion! :cool2:

Well.... I wish them all the more to skate the hell out of the FD! I know they can still do it! :cheer:

I swear to God, although I do like V/M, I can't wait for them to retire so we can at least stop this fan-war non-sense. Although I have the felling today's preferences will translate into choosing some other rival to support in the future (meaning to say, V/M ubers will never support P/C, just as D/W ubers are more supportive of them over V/M). I hope I'll never be as blind to my preference as to ever tear apart another team that gets close to them.

That's so strange I'm kind of the opposite for me. I was 100 percent supportive of D/W in Sochi and now am a complete V/M uber. For me, they have become a completely different team after their comeback in terms of their programs and performance. However, I agree with you that I am so done with the nastiness that sometimes happens during these fan-war nonsenses.

Anyway, since this is a fanfest for P/C I'm proud of them for persevering through that program even though it looks super uncomfortable at times with her costume almost falling off. A lot of teams would have been a lot bigger of a mess if they experienced a similar costume issue.

It's strange to me how stans will think their faves are mistreated no matter what. They just got a WR and are in the lead going into the Free. They have TWO OG golds, will for sure get either another gold or silver. They're not underdogs, they're literal legends of the sport and always will be. So taking enjoyment (they pretend it's not but I #see it) in what happened to Gaby and using it to drag P/C for their skills and/or presentation doesn't sit well with me:no:. That must've been an awful moment and feeling for her and there's just no need to pile on imho.

I liked D/W a bit more and was looking forward to V/M comeback but that snooze of a vanilla FD last season just made me feel they are the same old same old. And by contrast P/C just won me over with their true balletic lines and poetic glide, which tbh none of the Michigan teams had.

Hello everyone! I'm a new member too but I adore French Team since Mozart, not since today's night. I'm from Poland so I stayed up in the middle of the night even though I'd got classes next morning. Moreover, I will do the same tonight and I know this is gonna be a very, very hard time for me. I enjoy every post on this topic, so I finally decided to write something. I am very glad to hear that all of you are still believe in them. Can't wait to see them in only few hours!

Just a question: Is in TSL(The skating Lesson) anybody else than only Canadian fans???I feel everything there is for Canada... sorry for asking but i cant anymore.....i feel so annoyed...they work so hard for so many days for the rights of Canadian athlets!!!

Hi Michalina, welcome! Post long and often :) I'm glad to see so many new members here.

Well, Dave posted a tweet implying (rather asserting) that the French were not judged fairly, that they were overscored (because their performance was sloppy, and that they were not committed etc.) and that the judges were corrupted - everything basically that V/M fans want to hear. So of course, they all take such an opportunity to spit their venom out on social media. And they're pretty vocal.
I think Dave tries to be fair in general (and unbiased), but he felt like speaking his mind. He thinks V/M deserve that Gold Medal. So yes, I don't think he was being rude - but the stans responding to his tweets clearly are.

So I've been following TSL until around GPF - I stopped he was too mean to some skaters that I liked, for no reason - and their narrative changed. They did get a lot of mean tweets after he said that the French were going to win. Suddenly, he kept pointing out all the flaws in what they were doing (Gaby doesn't extend her legs apparently... yeah right), but making the French look like their scores and their win in the GP series and in GPF were all about Didier pulling out strings and never about the performances. He also forgot to say that V/M underperformed a bit after Skate Canada.

Also, he lives for Drama. And popularity. You cannot compare fanbases, because Tessa&Scott have the biggest fanbase in figure skating after Yuzuru Hanyu. So what do you do ? You attract the bigger number.

But then I saw a couple of recent tweets from them, and I really wondered if they actually cared about the skating. Meh. I'm more impressed by the skating than the gossips anyway.

hello, I'm also new to you. I love gabriella and guillaume and their skating. I am unhappy with what happened to them. I wish them most to win. but in particular I would like to put everything out of the head and show all that great magic. my dear. . . skating for fans and for us. Alain tell them that we are with them and that they are the best 💞💞💞👍👍👍
