Top Prospects of Russian ladies

Daria in not from Moscow, she is from Moscow oblast. She participated in and won her regional qualification: http://fsrussia.ru/results/1718/Zona_ml_cfo/index.htm
So, she qualified to Russian novice nationals.

Plakhotnaya was only 5th there? Owch, 17th in elements for that girl? What a shame... That qualifier only had 4 spots available too, right? Veronika Zhilina did not qualify either as far as I know.

These two I'd be much more interested in than the #2-4 here but who knows.

The gap is nice. Really sad we won't see Zhilina and Plakhotnaya. Agree about the others, but Alina is a nice skater, a bit higher than average level, I would say. She has young coach Sofia Fedchenko, who is also raising future stars. And she is working right now with previous Lip's, Medvedeva's and Pogorilaya's choreographer. So at least they will have good programs, and this is also important.

I can't remember such PCS at any Moscow's competition, I don't know what's wrong with St. Pete, why they always overscore their skaters? Even at jun. 1 level. I can't find Dzepka's pc scores, but I doubt it was higher than 22-24 points. Here's all top 4 ladies have 25 PCS. Maybe they use some old standards and rules regarding PC scores? This is total misleading. Just compare recent St. Pete Cup's scores with current Moscow Cup's. What the hell are they doing?
The PCS is pretty high, but Dzepka definitely has received over 27 PCS for that skate that you linked.

Moreover, the famous and one of two available Dzepka's skate is from jun. 1 category? Just one program. And now she's in the sport 2 category, which means two programs with step sequence. Let's hope she'll be there!

That's the best thing. Two full, different programs and tons of elements, especially on the free skate. Outside of the skating and especially speed, what stands out the most are the jumps. What's going to be interesting is whether Dzepka has 2A and triples - And how many triples if she ends up having them. Her air time's amazing on each of the axel, flip, lutz and loop that she did in that skate a year ago and in the different video, her second combo's 2T also had pretty good rotation speed(enough for a triple). Especially her axel is insanely good. I guess it all depends on what she has been doing for the past year and why exactly she hasn't been competing.

Well, it seems Kamila Valieva is back. No falls for the first time since forever, much energy and the smile! :):clapper:

Yes, hopefully she can keep that up!

A competition starts tomorrow where an interesting name is Uliana Vasilieva. However, that category won't be until Saturday. The other somewhat notable name I can see is her training partner Vinokurova. Other than that, I don't really recognize anyone... But someone still might be better than expected. Hopefully it's streamed.

On Sunday the 11 is of course the Dzepka competition. Hopefully it's streamed. Hopefully she participates. And even if it's not streamed, protocols would still be great to be able to see.

Another very interesting competition is on March 16-18. It'll have Uliana Vasilieva once again, but most interestingly Polina Borovskih in the jun. 2 category, too. I'm very curious about seeing how she does - The time when a skater goes from 3. to 2. category is probably the most significant leap... Until the leap to the sports 2 category, obviously. This competition will also have Kamila Valieva in sports 1 category, by the way. What needs to be kept in mind is that the participants to competitions this far away aren't yet final.

And might as well note the second Dzepka competition on the 17th. If she actually participates / is good on the 11th, this is something to really look forward to.

So this thursday is unfortunately pretty empty but... Quite a packed end to the week at least!

Can't you recognize the #11 in Uliana's group? Really? ;)

Just was checking the protocol from one recent event and noticed this girl: Daria Kulikova (2010). Garbage stream showed only first part of her program with black frames.

Her protocol.

She was in a hurry, didn't understand what she's doing, but her scores and skating show nice potential. Third place, being one of the youngest competitors in jun. 1 category. Same school with Melkumova.

I wonder why even not so talented skaters of 2007 year from non famous schools have beautiful programs and choose beautiful music, while superstars like Akatieva skate with garbage music and ugly programs.

Anastasia Fedorova (2007): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oxxDAcaZBg
Yana Rusak (2007): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW9WE4JXpEs

From childhood music teaches kids to have good or bad tastes, and there are bad signs of that.

I guess I've already watched Yana Rusak's skating about six times! She is skating much better than many juniors from JW.

I think Usacheva has promise - great height on 2A and flexibility. Thin and quick girl.

Three very good girls of 2011:

Yaroslava Uilan (2011): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKD6EvKwWew
Polina Paravaeva (2011): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZueD10oKTk
Anastasia ZINATULINA (2011): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CBNJUVIlVw

And one cute and already known soldier of 2012 army, Vitalina Vovk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVNsqf_eDc4

There were also several good girls but stream was bad, so better to watch them at other competitions.

Alena Nosova (2010): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GiJIFScZ-Q

Pity about the last jump.

Sofia Titova

This should be Eteri's mystery girl(Source is Youtube chat and sportvokrug lists Dudakov as coach, she also does some stuff that are very Eteri...).

Anyway, my opinion. Not very advanced tech-wise and has a flutz. Jump height and rotation speed looks pretty good though. We have to remember that Shcherbakova for example was not advanced at all technically. Otherwise, the skating's very good, but still not at the level of someone like Melkumova. The performing is very interesting though, probably the best thing about her. I think that she has some kind of star quality. Amazing presence and eye contact, and she looks fantastic in the coat while warming up for example. I also really loved how she was actually able to switch between "strong" and "gentle" performing by the music. Still has work to do here as well but I think that with some nurturing she could have some serious wow-factor.

You think? [emoji848]

Well, first two look similar, although cheeks a bit different. May be because of photo. But who is the girl with pigtail? Eteri has two young ladies, then.

Well, I don't know if it's a different one or what but... https://www.sportvokrug.ru/fs/coaches/1149/ You note this is also where Akatieva is listed.

Random Russian guy on Youtube chat is the most credible source I could possibly think of in addition to this :P Said that she joined Eteri just recently.

Interesting, maybe she's even the third girl. [emoji848] About information I woudn't be sure there, it mentions Varvara Kurnosenko as well, but she is training in Plushy's academy. And since when Dudakov became an ice dance coach to teach Morozov/Bagin. [emoji848]

By the way, as far as I know, there is only one girl from Crystal with a pigtail.

But because of light difference it's hard to say, also her hair is a bit different, but she might have changed it since then.
