Wakaba Higuchi

Wakaba’s LP was to me the best performance of the championship. Arguably should score even higher than Kaetlyn although overall podium was correct as Wakaba was too far behind in the SP.
 
I’m really looking forward to what she will do next. It makes a big difference when a skater really thinks about how to make a program that will be remembered; so happy to find skaters like her who wants to seek for originality in their performance. Officially a fan now!
 
Interesting thing about the Skating Scores analysis the judge who gave him the most point is the Japanese judge.

Wakaba put pictures of the banquet on her instagram, she has a pretty floral dress can we give her an awards of the best banquet dress lol.


Since it's the end of the season I'm having fun watching her junior and novice season programs, I did not know she had to skate on Chaplin, can she go back on this theme again, I would have liked to see the evolution between the two programs.

On a possitive note four years ago she skated at the gala as a young skater local now she skates as a silver medalist it's crazy she can be proud.
 
Late to the party, but congratulations to Wakaba with her amazing FS and her oh-so-deserved silver Worlds medal!
I threw a flower and a plushie on the ice for Wakaba at Milan (to make up for the apparently fake (?) pooh bear at Challenge Cup, lolz).
I just watched her FS on Eurosport with Dutch commentary, the commentators are crazy about her skating and her program (all season, of course, her having been in The Hague didn't hurt), said sooo many wonderful things about her, and the lady commentating refers to herself as a fan. Can't blame her :luv17:

I'm amazed that it was the lowest during COC 2017 when it was one of her best competition (both skates clean if I remember correctly). Although she was progressing well up till the GPF her PCS was declining.

Skating Score did a nice analysis on the worlds,
Although Wakaba was the best on this LP she is only 4th and 5th at the PCS level, but the Japanese judge gave her 151 either her rather high scores. When at the SP she is only 8

This proves that the PSC is a problem but I hope that the UIS will open its eyes.

The videos of his FS are available on Youtube I do not tire of reviewing his performance and there are many positive comments.


Speaking of which program, which program would you like to see next season? for me I would like another program as strong as James Bond who is his best so why not either The attack of the titans is the last samurai? or a modern piece

How about the soundtrack to Your Name? This way she could portray a female and male character at the same time. And no, I don't mean anything like POTO a la Kanako. She would be the right age. Curious to see how she would do a love story.

Yes in addition it is the animated who caused a sensation by its poetic history,
in truth I do not know what kind of program she could skate that is unique.
La Califfa was not about a love story? she had beautifully skated it.

You ate correct, of course.:) The composer, Ennio Morricone also did the soundtrack to Musashi, a samurai drama series, for example:

Shogun also has beautiful music used by Takahito Mura I have rarely seen a women skate on this theme.

I like this composer too. Miki Ando used The Mission for her SP in 2010-11 and won World gold!

Like what we can have programs "classic" and be a great champion.
That's all we want for Wakaba.
I'm going to stop her from flooding, maybe next week she's going to introduce a new EX program even though I will not mind seeing her Hallelujah again.
 
I know many disregard TSL in general, but it was just speculated that Wakaba could go to Orser. Because nothing's confirmed, I think it'd be interesting just to consider the scenario! I think it might be good for her, but who knows. I know Wakaba has gone to Canada before for coaching.

It would be exciting, for sure. Max Ambesi has speculated as well and I trust him more than I trust TSL.
 
I also heard about this rumor in the thread of Japanese ladies 2018/2019 I hope this is true especially since it is his last year in high school, but can she leave her family?

I can not wait to see this new program in addition Prince on Ice is a great show where you can see the skaters in real life and it's the sponsors of Wakaba, last year it was fun to see her in Annie.
