I think you worry to much. Alina seems delicate and fragile but it doesn't mean she is silly or sth. She is a sensitive girl and IMO she made only one mistake - yes, this unfortunate Vogue photoshot. But I think she was manipulated into that situation and it was difficult for her to oppose, she was among adults. I don't even blame her parents. They let her go to Vogue, so they could expect a normal photoset and what she got was Cosmopolitan like photos, to say the least.
Her yesterday's answer about a boyfriend/relation was smart and seemed really honest to me. And as for her IG activity, I think it is just pretty normal for teenagers...

With all due respect, your comments are REALLY reaching and bordering out of line. Yes, the Vogue shoot was risqué, but we don't know the background for that. And Alina Kabaeva is a fine role model, she is an Olympic Champion; who wouldn't want her as a role model? It's obvious she's Alina's role model because of her athletic achievements and that Alina was named for her. Kabaeva's relationship was personal and had nothing to do with sports. If you think having a role model means you want to be like them in every single aspect, then do you think Alina wants to be injured like Evgenia right before Olympics because she is her role model? Or do you think Alina wants to lie about doping for her boyfriend like Carolina so she can be banned for 2 years too, or maybe she wants to be inconsistent like Carolina now? Do you see how ridiculous that is.

Maybe if you cannot be a calm fan, you're not a fan at all? The things that you're insinuating about her based on these things you see are very worrisome and quite frankly have nothing to do with the photos or videos, you just seem to be grasping onto anything to say she is morally compromised. Alina is not "open" with guys, she is interacting with them, as she should. And since when is liking a photo on Instagram of an opposite sex imply that you're some kind of person? She's 15, she's an extremely accomplished athlete, and she is participating in fun shows with other great athletes. She will interact with them there, she will be in the same photos as them, and she will follow and show support to them on her social media. I don't see what you "great expectations" are from her; to sit at home instead or to not speak with anyone at the shows? Do you want her to post and tell her fans to shut up, because that will be so respectful? The fans will comment on what they want and ship what they want, nowhere are the implying that she's hooking up with multiple people; they're just saying she's having some sweet moments with them and hypothetically they would think it's cute. These things are said about ALL skaters.
There's nothing wrong with being emotionally fragile, sensitive and shy, and gutsy. I would say many athletes are all these things, including Evgenia. The problem with not trusting her comes from you, not her.
 
Hey, great material from the ice show! And respect to all these skaters who show up in Japan doing their best only a week after the World Championships! They must be tired but they keep going, wow!

I was there in Milan in the audience and we were clapping and supporting Alina till the end, I was so heartbroken and cried along with her after the free skate but I believe that next season she will rock again and win the only title she hasn't won yet! I am happy that she ended the season on a high note with a great, strong gala performance, it was an honour watching her live.

That's why I want to ask the fellow fans if you have any idea which Grand Prix events Alina will be attending next season? Last year she was at Cup of China and the Internationaux de France and since it is possible for me to go to France in November, I would really love seeing her there, do you think there is a chance?
 
I don't think the skaters had any time off after worlds as they went straight from Milan to Japan for show rehearsals.
It looks like Alina is having a lot of fun at the ice show and seems a lot more relaxed now.

Great post. I think the Vogue shoot which turned out to be more risque then anyone thought was a learning experience for Alina and her family. Alina and her parents need to be in control of the situation and give a photographer Direction and not the other way around.

As for the rest of this year it will be fascinating to see how much taller and thicker Alina gets from maturity and if that affects her brilliant skating and if so how much and what adjustments she will have to make. To me she looks a little more womanly now than at the beginning of the season. actually I'm hoping that she's going to get a little bit bigger in the next couple years I hope that just makes her a little stronger physically which will let her perform tougher moves with stronger legs. only time will tell but the truth is we should rejoice in Alinas season which was the best debut season in history. It's an absolute pleasure to see her enjoy herself and the fruits of her labor and for all the other skaters at these celebratory shows as well.
 
Awww Alina looks so happy and relaxed in Japan. I need Japan to come through and give us a segment with Alina and akita puppies. Maybe throw Shoma in the mix as well since I would love to see Yuzuru's puppy play with other puppies.
