N. and S. Korea are different countries w/ different governments. S. Korea is an American allie.

I vote for Russia b/c when I think of snow/ice I think of Russia. And b/c Johnny's my fave and perhaps he would do well in the country he loves so much.

Proximity issue. Israel was not in Palestine when that issue arose. Granted US only did this when in Moscow, and Russia when in LA, but the possibility is just a thought regardless of the outcome. Governments have a tendency to sacrifice the athletes hopes for an agenda of their own, Sometimes.

I am a fan of Asian culture in general (M.O.F. my Foster Mother and ex-wife, couple of girlfriends / friends,etc... were/are Korean) So I would like seeing it there or Sochi, but even Sochi brings the notion that the proximity to the Middle east could be an issue. JAT really.

oh, lord I'm really glad I misunderstood you. I was worried there for a sec. I was like surely this person knows the diff. b/w North and South Korea *whew* very much relieved.:agree: I think the proximity wouldn't be a problem unless the U.S. government was afraid of a possible attack from the north at the time. But, you know what the way things are going there might not even be a south Korea by 2014?
