Nathan Chen

I think that'll be a great time! Sun Valley looks like it will be a really fun venue to see people. Just the fact that it's outside seems so cool! I love that, ONLY 788 miles. You sound like me!!!!!

I believe you have done Shoma Road Trip?!

I wouldn't be too hard on Mariah since she literally found out she was going to Worlds 2 days before leaving. That said, it could be Raf's male students are pushing themselves to keep up with Nathan. I know in an interview Adam called Nathan his "secret weapon." And I wonder if that could have contributed to Patrick doing so well last season and then losing motivation this year.
I think both Patrick and Adam have talked about how having Nathan as a training mate inspired them to up their technical game. Adam talked about becoming more "fearless" watching Nathan train on a daily basis. It's really too bad Nathan won't be at Lakewood anymore. I wonder if Raf's new pupils had training with Nathan in mind when they decided to join his group and if they feel disappointed at all to find out Nathan will be at Yale instead? :)

Arriba - hahaha and thanks! I thought Sun Valley was well over 1000 miles away so this was a pleasant surprise😊

And 4cc is *only* 382 miles away so even easier!! Hope to see Shoma there (and Nathan too of course)😍

the grand prix final is going to be in my college indoor arena :agree2:
i hope nathan's there

To be fair - Nathan also has said that training with Adam has pushed him as well. So it’s not just Nathan helping motivate others.

.

This is the part that concerns me. Nathan will not have any elite training partners at Yale, so he will need to import a very strict coach to crack the whip when needed. I hope he's making lots of $$ because his coaching fees will be astronomical.

His expenses would be high for sure - hope the Walmart sponsorship is $$$$$. I wonder how much help he’s getting from USFSA and USOC ?

I will eat Kellogg corn flakes for breakfast, wearing only Nike stuff and change my tires into bridge stone from now on and drink Diet coca cola and fly to see Nathan in United only and hang out in my fav Walmart during weekends :yes:

Have you guys thought that one of those "youg male singles skaters being sent to Rafael to train with him in preparation for the 2022 OG" might be... Boyang Jin??

Oh god, that's sort of an action film coming up there:laugh: Just imagine Nathan and Boyang sharing the same coach? Nathan has almost the same PCs as Jin and if Rafael corrects and improves Jin's tecnhique... they can become rivals! Aw god... that scares and intrigues me at the same time.

besti loop - omg I hadn’t even considered that possibility - BATTLE OF THE QUAD LUTZ

I wouldn't say so, I'm kinda bored of 4Lz, they both jump it perfectly. The more interesting is if Jin learns all the jumps (except the 4a ofc) at Raf's but the most desirable part for me is QUAD LOOP :hap10:

I can honestly talk about 4Lo forever (oh, you see my username?)

I wish to see Nathan jumping 4Lo again so badly :( Pleasepleasplease include it in your new programs!:sad21::bow:

Also, I don't think Boyang and Nathan will interact much (cuz of YALE), only this summer maybe.

i think Boyang already landed 4lo in practice.

Actually, speaking of USFSA, I have this question I want to ask sheetz or anyone who happens to know about this 2018-19 Team Envelope thing. I think Nathan should qualify for tier 1. How much money could be it?

And Rafael could have two pupils on the men's podium in Beijing 2022 just like Brian Orser did in Pyeongchang.:dance2:
