Super ... and well deserved.
A gala in Japan in May?
And one in Seoul, at the end of May. They'll have plenty of time to rest in before then.

That is an excellent post with great statistics. For that very last season, it has been a very calculated, steady rise even under the circumstances. It's great.Whole post
, in a matter of 4 seasons. This is beyond
. We often want that team, or that skater that will come out want just mess up the rankings and stay at the top because it's a great story... and they litterally gave it to us. (And sometimes I wished they were Americans, Canadians or Japanese... because those 3 (skating) countries would run away with that story and they would have received great publicity. Just my opinion
)
And then the next few seasons have been a learning curve. They learned in 20 months what you learn in a lifetime of competition. And we all know for a fact that it's not just skating wise that they are fast learners... just look at the attitude difference between 2016-2017 and 2017-2018. From being rattled by the biggest competition they could ask for, to overtaking them by shinning and being so confident.
I love long celebratory posts :hap93: They really deserve it and don't get enough credit for it as you mentioned. Were they from huge skating countries they would have been deified by now. Although, it's as well because they don't strike me as the type to care for such grandioso display of worship.Whole post
Absolutely, event though Guillaume did acknowledge in the most cute way during GPF " I like to be first" However, they are never an in your face type of celebratory couple. I notice a tiny but revelatory moment during the FD K&C at Worlds here Notice how MDF is trying to raise Guillaume's arm to make him go for a more "yes we did it" type of gesture, like the classic fist pumping in the air. And notice his demeanor, it couldn't be more against his nature ( I think MDF was mismatching him with another guy from GadboisBut having that mindset of not being totally obsessed with winning might have helped them mentally, don't you think ?
)all post .
You're absolutely right, and I look forward to seeing G & G accumulate the WRWith the GOEs increase though, I think we can see more than tenth increasing in their scores.

This is amazing ! Thank you very much Escarbille, we definitely needs more statistics like that, and the first table in particular is very revealing. Grishuk/Platov is an obvious winner, they were undefeated for a whole quad, and Davis/White were defeat in only 2 competitions in a whole quad too.Whole post
. But that gives you the impression that it's not just the 1st win that is unprecedented : it's how it went on and how they were never lower than 2nd after that season (after the GPF14 Bronze).
It was "supposed" to be WeaPo's title : CBC's people were not that happy starting 2015 Worlds because they were a massive threat to another Canada World title.
But if you feel like it, you should !Escarbille, those kind of statistics (the first table with overall results) would be great in The Edge but I don't want fanwars from the 90's or another D/W vs V/M coming backBut if you feel like it, you should !
