Nathan Chen

Mamamiia, I would like to thank you for the wonderful videos you've provided. I really hope you enjoyed the show time, and honestly I cannot imagine myself filming a video to share instead of selfishly enjoying the marvel that's so near, so thanks so much once more!:luv17::thumbsup:

I am filming it not just to share but also to have a version that focuses on him ONLY. I am glad you enjoyed it:)

ETA I do have one regret that I didn't get chance to scream out loud: "Nathan" :o::o:

Can we please keep these conspiracy theory and other poster complaint posts to DMs? It derails the conversation and will only invite more mod scrutiny. This is the nth time this is happening, and it's creating a vicious cycle and unproductivity.

Just read Nathan's Japanese skating magazine article,

Very good, more informative than IN article (I guess the article in US really is the most PC). Really humble boi:love:

I think @sheez will translate later. thus I won't now

something, Nathan is look forward to new season GPs. So he probably won't skip:luv17:

and Nathan wanna try ski:luv17: Nathan you may ask Chloe Kim to teach you snow boarding as well

You understand Japanese as well? Wow, I can barely handle one language lol.

But yea, I wouldn’t expect Nathan to skip any GPs. He seems pretty adamant that he’ll be treating the season like any other but with school involved. There’s a lot of convenient dates next season that coincide with his school breaks so I think it’ll be doable.

Yes in May.

Awesome, is it gonna be your first time? I used to like the SOI shows when I was younger and really into skating but the new generation afterwards seemed a bit...lazy to me. This new crop though is a great cast and I think they’re helping grow some more interest in skating in the US

No, I do not understand Japanese at all, my friend also huge Nathan fan translated that Japanese article into Chinese, so that Chinese fans including me can understand.
She is also the one who made that touching Butterfly lovers MV for Nathan:love:

Nope I watched SOI more than 10 years ago when Alexie Yagudin, Kristi Yamaguchi, etc. were performing. I personally preferred Champion on Ice because I like competitive skaters better. Not a fan for group numbers. I stopped follow skating for quite some time until Nathan drew me back this season.

It usually takes a few weeks until it shows up on Kindle and then I have to find the time to translate. But it's a good way to pass the time during the off season. I think it's just the IN articles that are PC. The recent ESPN article was really good.

I wish the Japanese fans would summarize the article at least.

thanks for the info about the article on Nathan😍 ... and I’m guessing he can ski and snowboard some - he is from UTAH after all💕

That's not a recent photo, is it? I don't know where that rink is and Nathan has been busy on tour.

there is a recent ESPN article?

Well, maybe not that recent. The one where he said Vera told him to cut his hair.

That was Bonnie Ford pre Olys. It was very detailed and delved deeper than most of the icenetwork articles.

Do you know if there are scans of the Japanese article from World Figure Skating magazine that just came out?

I don't know if any from Japanese fans. But Chinese fans are more free about sharing such things so maybe they exist on Chinese forums.

Sorry, I'm confused. Is the person who made the 'port the bras' collection the same one who made the Butterfly Lovers video? And also 'in the middle somewhat elevated'? Is that person the friend you're referring to, who can speak Chinese *and* Japanese?

Ahh, it’s nice to have friends who are bilingual then lol. Thanks for sharing the tidbits from what you read

Yea I stopped following once Michelle retired and Nathan is what got me back into skating also. I had to do a lot of catchup prior to the Olympics so I knew who was who and what was what lol (though I had already heard of Nathan as the skating wonder kid way before). It’s changed quite a lot, those names you mentioned bring back a lot of childhood memories
