Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017-2018

Well we just need to support him as long as he wants to keep going.

I wonder if he was serious at marrying at 25 or 26 since I saw it in an interview with oda and shoma.lmao Just had to insert that cause he trolled rhe beijing question. Made me feel he might have other things in mind. But that's just me and not him.

We all want him in beijing but whatever his decision is in the far future he will always have our love.

I find it rude when media keeps asking Yuzuru and Brian about Beijing 2022. They clearly said many times that they hadn't had any plan so far, media should respect them. I know his fans and Japanese media want him to continue until 2022, but I wish they didn't mention it whenever they get to interview him. He just survired an exhausting Olympics season and is still nursing a severe injury, all he wants now is enjoying the happiness and rest, he must be tired of this kind of question.

There was an announcement "Questions must be limited to only about the parade." but a reporter managed somehow to ask about the next Olympics, and honestly this kind of thing happens very often. But Yuzuru always does good job in replying evasively while he can always say "I can't answer that question."

The crowd was estimated 108,000, and 70,000 T-shirts were sold by April 21.

Did you see these pictures? They all look like ants :eekn: (it is Japanese metaphor)

I don't know if its lipstick, gloss or chapstick but his lips where so shiny I was so distracted.
I can't speak japanese but instead of looking at his full face my eyes focus on his lips. Lmao

I noticed he bit his lips quite often at the parade. May be they were so dry that he had to put on lip gloss. This is the first time I saw him with lip gloss. It's quite distracting but....attractive 😂😂

To everyone participated in the parade of Hanyu Yuzuru kun.

After the parade, we including volunteer staff made the rounds but we did not find a single trash (on the roads).
I was moved by your wonderful manners.
Please come to Sendai again.
Thank you.

And it was reported that today was the hottest day in April in the history of Sendai's temperature, it was 29.9 ℃.

I’m still traveling, but love seeing the photos and clips of the parade. I’m also glad that everyone seemed to be well with no accidents and very little littering. Yuzu looks wonderful and happy. I will support any decision he makes about his future.
:ghug:

Sounds like the parade was a huge success, and Yuzuru looked to have enjoyed it immensely. I’m glad it went well for all. The weather looked to have been perfect.

Here is a translation of the interview after the patade credit to owner tadaki

Thanks for posting! I was very impressed with his answer to the question about achieving one’s dreams. His statement about dreams not always coming true and that the journey, the achievements (small) along the way in attempting to reach that dream, are what holds great value was a very real and mature response. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone with his level of success make such a true statement about reality of reaching dreams.

He dodged the 2022 olympic question again with Troll answers [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Good for him. Its barely been 8 weeks since he won his 2nd OGM, is still recovering from a severe injury and therefore is unable to jump and the media is already starting to pressure him about Beijing. I wish they would lay off and let him heal, breathe, enjoy this historic win at least for a few months, before they start asking him about going for a 3rd OGM. :palmf:

Yuzuru donated his all reward money of the Olympics, 5 million yen each for Miyagi prefecture and Sendai city.

I've never heard 23 year old young man doing this in Japan. I know Sendai is his home town and he is not an ordinary guy, but most of the celebrities are not doing this after 7 years had passed from the earthquake. He is amazing.

If he were an ordinary man people wouldn´t feel so passionate about him. ;)

It is a grand gesture, hopefuly the money would reach people in need and others will see his example an donate. Is there a page to read about how the reconstruction work is coming alone?

Looks like big smiles all around! He is such a parade pro now, I am seeing reactions from people at the parade that he was very attentive to people on both sides, inside buildings, on the street, and respond to all kinds of requests! So nice to see his love for his hometown is reciprocated; he is allow to be in Sendai undisturbed and in ninja mode when he wants to, definitely would not be the case if it's Tokyo.
