Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017-2018

@Imov, by right Yuzuru or any athletes do not owe fans per se. They are not singers/actors/pro dancers who depend on fans support for livelihood.
Till today, I dont understand the idol worshipping level some fans treat athletes.

An athlete's main duty/job is win medals, bring glory to his/her country in their chosen sport. If they wish, after they retire they can pass on the skills of their sport by coaching.

https://twitter.com/ANA_travel_info/status/988356807490879488 Here's another message in Japanese. "Hello, this is Hanyu Yuzuru of ANA. I'm so glad that the parade ended safely, I was able to hear lots and lots of voices of thanks from you, including those who came to the parade. Thank you very much. I continue to rely on your support."
ANA will give 5 of these signed parade T-shirts away via raffle.

TCC never does social outings??? Like dinner parties between TCC members. never seen a bonding photo between TCC members and yuzu

OMG, I am in love with this #, I don’t have Twitter, thank you for sharing  (seriously considering to create an account just to see this #)

Looking through all the pictures made me realized how Yuzuru has grown into a fine young man.
He was kind of lanky in 2014, but now his slim muscle tone just shows how hard he worked.

I saw some news that Yuzuru insisted of not using tax payers money for this parade thus the T-shirts with a whooping excess of sales.
If this is true, our young lad is so unselfish his parents and whole family tree must be so proud.

And just curious @yude and @interspectator since both of you are from Japan is Yuzu's look acknowledge there as very handsome?
As for me I find him very handsome ^^.

Actually, if we are being honest, an athlete job is to train and perform to the best of their capabilities. Not everyone gets a medal in their life time, no matter how hard they try.

There are athletes that have the bad "luck" of exist in the time of a dominant sport man/ woman, and there fore never get the result they would have achieve in a less competitive era.

I am not from Japan but I can tell you he very much is. I don't like him that way myself (though I think he's cute), but when we were interviewed by Japanese media in PC they wanted to know if we (kiches and I) liked him because of his looks. Even though we both said that for us it's about the skating, they still wouldn't let it go about his looks. And actually Christine Brennan in a CNN interview referred to Yuzuru as a heartthrob.

When I was in Japan last year and met some Waseda students through my school, we talked about Yuzu (because that is also his school) and what was the first thing out of their mouths? That he's so cute.:laugh:

He's also at or around the top of many polls of desired celebrities there.

Not from Japan, but I remember several programs talking about Yuzuru´s look, there was a pretty funny one where they say he has the prefect body-face proportions to be an anime character .

I think that for standard Japanese beauty he is more related to a bishounen than to a standard male beauty.

A new article from icenetwork is out.

If this the article that Hersh was talking about when he half-quoted Brian here , that tweet was definitely intended to be a click-bait teaser for this article because, unless I misread, Brian did not talk about the Beijing part?

(I do hope there'll be no drama with the Person of the Year selection...whoever gets picked )
