Nathan Chen

@Mamamiia white T is airy too.:biggrin:

but gala is a completely difficult world than a 6 quads FS that only Nathan in this planet can do.

Nathan can do his gala numbers literally without break a sweat

I’ve noticed some guys who have great metabolisms sweat quite a lot when they sleep

So this heavy sweating is really a good thing!

Rather we should celebrate Nathan’s sweating💕 - of course yet another aspect in which he is genetically blessed

quote an insta comment "who does not like a sweaty Queen".

Something, puzzled me and I wanna figure it out, one insta account always refer Nathan as "Queen" instead of the usual "King". it there a special meaning in the word "Queen" when used to refer a man in English, or is it gender neutral. or some other meaning behind it.

Just want to point out that navy shirt might be made of synthetic fabric that's very difficult for skin to breath in, thus cause larger amount of sweat. He was wearing white T for no good at worlds gala, didn't notice any issue.

Yeah, it's a dress shirt that is clearly not breathable and not designed for heavy duty sweating and athletic activities. The solution is just not to wear a shirt like that again since it has not been a major issue before

I’m guessing in this case - the poster is using ‘Queen’ just in the place of ‘King’

Some call him King, Prince, apparently Queen and haven’t seen Princess yet lol

I think it has been a major issue since puberty, though primarily with competitive programs as @yyyskate says. Off the top of my head, the other times when it was an issue:

1. Aladdin costume at GP France https://goo.gl/images/eDdqfe

2. Borodin FS https://goo.gl/images/u9SVuW

Thanks lurkz2 for your Eagle Eyes and lol at “major issue”

I can’t see the Aladdin costume pic but I believe you - and not even Prince Igor was spared

It’s actually kinda cute and Nathan can’t help that he’s genetically blessed here

Of course, but I meant to that extent. I was going to put a disclaimer that yes, he had clearly sweat before (thinking the red outfit mostly, which I noticed a few times!) but it was never as bad as the MLD shirt. Which I think was a major distracting issue. I think that clearly points towards bad material as part of the issue.

Many sportswear brands advertise their material as "quick dry" or "sweat proof", costume designers just need to embrace the latest and greatest technology, like i guess Vera did.

My observation is that the coldness from ice and the wind generated from movements should help to cool down skaters a lot,...

Sadly no, it only helps so much... I think it's the same for skiing or any other activity done in cold weather, the exertion will warm you up quickly from the inside.
I have no idea how some people can exercise at "regular" temperatures without getting a heat stroke.

Yeah agreed. Skiing in -10C (14F) doesn’t even cool me down (and I was exerting THAT hard), so I doubt the breeze generated while skating helps much

 I was trying to say the ice cools skaters down a little while the wind helps to dry the sweat... a more breathable quick dry costume material and a little extra care should help to solve the issue.

Afterall Nathan is just too *hot*:confused2:

Let's just accept that Nathan is genetically blessed even in his sweating capacity

And that he would sweat in any fabric - whether Nike dri-fit, Nike Pro, 100% cotton, cashmere, silk, poly blend, etc.

Here is the video of Team USA Olympians meet the POTUS.
https://www.facebook.com/WhiteHouse/videos/1660356834052043/ POTUS arrive at 19:00s
here is some words from the POTUS

"you overcame setbacks, you powered through obstacles and you never ever quit"

That is the exact testamony to Nathan's spirit in this Olympics. #NeverGiveup

Some people may has issues with this particular POTUS, but here in this event, he represented the Present of United States, not Donald Trump this person.

although Nathan was not here, the word quoted above is a nod to Nathan's spirit in this Olympics from POTUS and a huge honor for Nathan to represent USA so well.

EDIT: Here is the quote "never give up" from Nathan during 2018 Olympics

Hope you can throw some plushie to poor Nathan, maybe some of your fav ones:biggrin: for that personal touch, not reaching too hard here.

Ok... I’ve thought about it long and hard. I want Nathan to do a Argentine Tango next season. Something about the way he holds himself and his facial expressions makes me think this would be a good style for him. He’d have to slick back the curls for the right look, it’s easy enough to costume. But he cannot have a song that has been done to death. I kinda like forever tango bu a los amigos. It’s dynamic enough for a short program.
