Video (not the whole thing but still) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it, there are indeed new types of steps for Shomita !!!! Can't wait to see the whole program !!

Looks so great and fresh! Certainly new type of skating of Shoma. He seems to nail the piece though it is new music genre and tempo for him. He seems to love it too!

That´s what DW likes to do: take his skaters to explore new things and artistic direction that he thinks is good for their progress. I´d like to know who chose the music, maybe the piece itself is from David but the genre from Mihoko and Shoma??

The meaning of his name is "Be beautiful and polish（昌磨）", so he's polishing his 4S.　:)
 
Oh my I woke up to a treasure trove. Shoma looks great! Love his new costume and the bits and pieces
of his new program. :love: We not only have Shoma the Showman now we have Shoma the Jazzman.

My guess is that Shoma just said he wanted to try something new, Mihoko suggested jazz, and David Wilson picked the song. [emoji4]

Jazz, something different, challenge....
Wow...just as I expected (except Shae-Lynn...nice surprise).
He is not used to moving like a jazzman yet. At first it may seem clumsy, I think it will be a wonderful performance. Everyone said that Loco did not suit him (two years ago).However, he finally showed excellent performance. I believe him. But if that really did not suit him, coach Yamada, please scold David. :biggrin:

Some of those steps were not as strong, but then this was his first performance of it. I remember thinking he was tentative during the step sequence of Legends when he first performed in show. It got better throughout season.
 
The new EX program has great potential! I'm looking forward to seeing it evolve through further outings. There's certain parts where he's still testing out the new choreography (like some awkwardness still in the hops, etc.) but this is going to be a good challenge for Shoma.

Plus he looks great in black and red.

Now I want to see what Shae cooked up for him!

I agree with you. :)

I am not much pessimistic.
(I have not seen all this program yet... I wish I could see it in Otsu)
I think his program will get better, he will polish it.
 
Thank you everyone for all your updates and videos! This looks like a great program and really challenging for him. I love the way he faces challenges! I'm sure once he polishes it, we'll have a masterpiece. Those steps and moves look so interesting and I also think he seems to like it. Now I'm so curious about Shae-Lynn's program!

Aglae, I agree with you, we should really be thankful for yawning_shoma and her/his great content.

Now he must be happy all of us are saying he's so kakkoi instead of kawaii (although we all know he's both 😉)!
