Alina Zagitova

I hope alina continue to dominate this season,i dont know anything about evgenia but i think she's enjoying her vacation somewhere, I hope they're still friends because i noticed at the recent shows in korea alina seems alone most of the time.

I think it would be a difficult next season for Alina, as she has to prove that the last season wasn't just the luck of beginner. And also because there might be some body changes over the summer.

and dont forget , Alina will be a leader of the Russian team , this will add responsibility

I feel stressed just reading these! Imagine the weight on those young shoulders. I hope she will continue to succeed with her grit, talent and experience (esp from the past season).

Sorry for a very noob question - can someone explain what is "juniorish skating"? I read elsewhere that was said about Alina and I don't agree whatever it is! :hap85: - but what does it mean exactly? Isn't she doing all the moves and combos required at a senior level?

I wonder if her classmates have treated her differently now she's OGM? The last time I remember her classmates did not care about her much.

If I'm not wrong "didn't care" was in previous school. Sambo-70 has sport sections and school of common education. Some Eteri's students educate in other schools or at home. As a school girl Alina moved to Sambo-70 about 1 year ago only. Alёna Kostornaia is on home education mostly but attend some lesson in her school (not Sambo-70 in the 2017 at least).

What I like about her in all these interviews and interactions is how... normal she is. The same tone of voice, the same face expression as ever and immediate, sincere answers. It's rare these days.

Totally agree! And in her signature cute voice. She is never pretentious or dramatic. It is almost like watching her periscope sometimes.

She's clearly adopting manners, wordings and intonations from Zhenya.

Nothing common with Zhenya. Alina has different, her own style of communication, more humble, gentle and soft.

I don't think so at all. :scratch2:
I hope she never will!

When she was saying thanks at the end, I looked to me like someone loaded Zhenya's program into Alina's model. :)

I'm not comparing Alina with Zhenya, I'm comparing Alina now and a year ago.

These girls are more mature than their age. I believe it is something to do with the environment that they grow up with. It is a cut throat business and they are under part of the Government "structure". It makes me drawing the parallel for the athles situation in other communiSt country, like China. You can see the reaction of Zhenya when she realized her score is second to Alina, her first reaction was crying, realizing she was in TV, she came up with smile. Alina has the magic to make you love her no matter what she behaves...I am sure this some how help her success in her career both inside and outside the rink.
