Evgenia Medvedeva

Oh, sorry, didn't mean to sound like I was arguing there. No, she'll of course benefit. Sometimes I miscommunicate/misunderstand.

No worries.

I mean all we can do here is judge based on the info we have what could be overall good for her, and as far as jumps go, it's a pretty sweet set up there. And of course, Tracy covers the rest and I really want to see her get her hands on Zhenya, work that knee a bit. Knock on wood, it'll turn out fine.

(and not related directly to TCC of course but new choreographers!)

I mean, what does one even say? :slink:

I'm sorry, as english is not my native language, sometimes is little hard for me to express my thoughts properly.

The main idea was that I just don't value Osrer as high when it comes to ladies. When his current lady No. 1 skated against Eteri's duo at OG, she messed it up so much she ended nearly last. And when she had her "redemption" at worlds, she still ended behid three times falling Alina. It could be much better now with Zhenya, but I just don's see that as something undisputable, as if Orser was someone who turns everything he touches into gold. He just doesn't.

But if I messed it up, lets be simple. Me tribe to think, Brian - not to be as good chieftain, Eteri - not to be as bad chieftain. Me spoken

Wasn't it Tracy who said that the Russian ladies (Medvedeva and Zagitova) move like mice on ice? :))

Omg I’m so shook about this you don’t even know
I especially don’t want her to change countries to Armenia. You can agree that’s just going a biiiit too far right, let’s hold up on all the sudden change [emoji23]

idk much about tcc, is there enough ice time for someone who get used to make 10 run through per practice with some extra triples? c: is Ghislain that good as people say? (i mean gabby has a lot of tech issues despite the fact that her jumps are big)

OMG is this really happening!:drama:

I read rumours on Russian forum last week and honestly wasn't surprised by it and actually belived it would really happen. What I didn't dream of that It could be TCC....

I hate to say that, but I was thinking about it after Olympics and think we actually discussed it here but back then it looked unrealistic that 'Zhenya-Eteri bond' could be broken....

IMO we all need to make hard decisions in life if we want to progress and have control over our lives. Therefore I think it's Zhenya's time to take over her life.

I am both hands down for #TeamBOrser! It was always my dream for her, and I think it could be beneficial for Tsarina. It would be of course very challenging move. I am no Zhenya, and our lives are very different, but I also had to change my life completely and leave my homeland to be able to pursue my dream and career goals. It was the hard decision to left family and friends as well as finance it all at the beginning but it always worth it and family always support you, even if you are miles apart. So I do believe if Zhenya wants it, moving to another country wouldn't be impossible obstacle to overcome to follow your dreams and goals...

I would support any outcome of this 'Off-Season Drama' and just badly wish Zhenya will continue to skate and develop as a skater!

I am almost certain there are the same conditions. I think it was in some interview that Eteri has 3h in total of ice practice per day. It's standard for any skater, it's usually 1h 30 min per each practice on ice (2 times per day), plus around 1h short warm up before the ice and another 1-1.5 practice (dancing, choreo class) after the ice.

They will only fix your technique if you want it yourself. For example some skaters have too much bigger issues to fix than the Lutz and Flip edge. They would fix thoses issues before the jump technique and get the stability first. Javi never fixes his Lutz and Flip but overall his skating became more stable.
Hanyu, on the other hand, has fixed his Flip which I guess it’s his own desire to fix it.

Yuna Kim?

Yuna Kim?

Thats what I have written in the previous comment (and one more from yesterday). Her gold is 8 years old, and I'm heretic, I don't value her as high as any of Eteri's girls, but well, one gold, ok. Since then, what Orser can offer? One world bronze (edit: and I checked, one more european bronze). What score of any of his ladies could be shown as proof he deserves his credit here? And to be honest, from recent, only few ladies stayed with him longer than one or two seasons.

That doesn't mean I don't wish it to Zhenya, but it seems like for some people it is as if it was already decided about success.

The Patreon seems a great idea! I would give Zhenya my whole wallet. hahahaha

I was taking accounts and 10 million rubles are equivalent to 130,000 miserable euros! It is very devalued. Uggg damn sanctions of countries that I will not name. They ruin the dreams of our Russian children :(.

I hope the Zhenya family has a savings account in dollars or euros.

I also found this very funny interview with Zhenya and her mother, from 2017, for their answers it's inferred that Zhenya is more of upper-middle class. They say that they always vacation abroad for 20 days or so. I remember that her grandmother also said that she likes to travel and vacation mostly in Japan, her grandmother likes Japanese art and culture, they have a lot of old Japanese art in their house. The love of Asia is family. Maybe they don't have so many economic difficulties.
But even so, the TCC tariff is very expensive.
They also talk about Jerry, I don't think Jerry goes to Canada, since her mother doesn't like to feel the empty apartment. I suppose Evgenia will go with her grandmother.
I think that Zhenya accepted the advice of Yagudin, and made her see the reality she faced. Zhenya is recovering from an injury, and needs all the attention and contention possible. She gets along well with Eteri, but she has many students and cann't guarantee Zhenya the attention she needs.
I think Zhenya is a decent person with very good values, so it seems obvious to me that she talked to Eteri as soon as she decided.

i hope so c: i mean she has everyrhing in sambo: enough ice + new rink is building, dance class, ballet class with a true russian ballerina™ (daniil's mom). also as i remember she said that they have abt 5 hours of ice practice??

Her gold is 8 years old

You're entitled to an opinion, but please realise that making a champion isn't just a matter of training someone. Does Med have what it takes to be one? Orser could help her, then, because of his resounding success with technique and packaging in general. This hasn't magically changed just because Yuna won 8 years ago, and no one else has since then. There are a lot of other factors there.

I’m not sure 10 run thrus is a sustainable training method. That’s gotta wear on the body. The young ones may be able to do it for a while with success but we’ve yet to see this workout long term. I think she lost strength (prob also from not eating enough) and got injured from these kind of repeated training sessions. She may benefit from less on ice time.

And thats what I don't see in any of his ladies now. And as I have written the fact that not many of ladies stays with him for longer time says something to me too. Well, paying 150 000 and no result? The ratio between prize and real resluts seems pretty high to me.

I never thought Medvedeva would live Eteri because she always look like her favourite .... but it is a smart move if she wants to go to next olympics ... Eteri's team is very crowd ...
Coachs ....Well ... in russia: TAT, Mishin or Pluchenko ... If they let her leave russia: I don't see her training in japan ... a lot of competition in the ladies field ... canada: brian

But I still don't believe the rumor ... it was Eteri's oportunity to prove that she can have a ladie and not a girl champion ...

she's already a champion actually and won everything LMAO accept this fact pls (or go off), except ogm of course, but flanker didn't mean the olympic gold, just some other gold for example (and it's meaningless to talk abt 2022 right now, really)
