Well, that's how it tends to go. After relaxing training conditions and starting to eat more, the delayed puberty effects tend to happen. I guess it's not an exact science but that's the tendency. By the way, this is one of my arguments against increasing the age limit to 16. Because puberty can be delayed for that long, as well. If one's willing to perform the necessary measures. The healthiest thing would be to reduce the age limit to become even lower than it is right now so that there would be less reward in delaying puberty for so long.
Well, Medvedeva herself is still quite fortunate with her body type and bone structure. I do think that she's going to be able to successfully have a lengthy career if everything goes well. Even being able to continue it until 2026 in the best case scenario. Hopefully she'll be able to be competitive with the team... Ah, I'm really curious for the next season to start already.
More so than the badmouthing, which in of itself is bad enough already, it's disgusting for a coach to go on national TV and tell everyone about something her student (supposedly) said in a emotionally vulnerable and frustrated moment (assuming Eteri isn't making up #fakenews, which I wouldn't put past her). That's a huge betrayal of trust and a terrible thing to do to someone.
Imagine if your ex went on social media after your breakup and blabbed about the fights the two of you had, and the things you said to him/her when you were mad. I don't care how terrible of a bf/gf you might've been, that's not okay. In this situation, it's even more screwed up given the asymmetrical power balance due to their age difference and coach-student dynamic.
And before all the misguided Eteri supporters come in here proclaiming "but Eteri said she was ghosted!", that still doesn't justify what she did. Two wrongs don't make a right, and Eteri, an adult, should know that.
The fact that Eteri is willing to use someone's most emotional moments against them as ammunition in the court of public etiquette signals she's lacking in basic human etiquette.

Well I’m just saying based on her interpretation I saw nothing inappropriate. Agree it’s not the best idea to take this music on at that age but nothing she did implied prostitution as was being suggested. When I look at her I see my little cousin and think innocent 13yr old date to a candy store with a young boy. That type of big spending. Like some apple juice Champaign or something
This is off topic anyway but I just find it misleading to suggest that Sasha was interpreting the music and lyrics literally. It’s a catchy tune like Mack the Knife where I think the era is what is being interpretated more so though the original and literal intent. Mack the knife was based on a serial killer after all :think:
Well, I think Big Spender is really more about a gold digger than a prostitute, although you could argue that it's just a nuance.
I thought Mack the Knife was about a shark.
But yeah, Trusova wasn't naughty or erotic with the interpretation, so I pretty much got the same candy store date impression, but the song is still inappropriate. It's like giving Alina that tiger routine in the skin-tight outfit.

I *think* (without using the magic of Google) that they are characters from the Threepenny Opera, on which Mack the Knife is based.
ETA: Using the power of the Google, I had no idea that the Threepenny Opera was based on a 16th C English work, the Beggar’s Opera? And Sukey Tawdry and Jenny Diver were common to both? What did I do without the Internetz?

Reading through these posts and the comments about Medvedeva, I can’t believe what my eyes are seeing. Was it only a few months ago that you were all worshiping her and bowing down to her. Some of you are jumping from the sinking ship like rats. I know it sounds strange coming from an Osmond worshiper, but give the young girl a break and don’t go listening to gossip.

Haa@@@r the fear of Evegenia possibly having great success training Canada must have ticked off a few Russia Nationalists' rosebuds... imagine the possibility fed lose control of their ladies pecking order, unable to replace them with instant tween jumpers with Averbukh 'miming my greatest artistic soul' PCS packaging. Or have to thank a Canadian lol.... hahahaha.. this is too hilarious.

Someone (sorry that I forget which poster - I've been reading these long threads, that it's difficult to remember who posted what) shared this article with links and some quotes from quite a few notables in Russian figure skating - all saying positive things about Evgenia and her move to Canada. I was glad to see that there are so many supporting Evgenia's choice - and her right to choose.

Granted, I haven't analyzed EVERY post in this thread, but if I were to "spitball" a guess - I'd say that 95% of the posts have sided with Evgenia.
And the 5% that don't probably weren't her fans anyways.
