At least the program focused on Zhenya's feelings, and let her expand on that. Luckily it was not a gossip program. She looks so confident and relaxed. She's only 18 and she already masters the public spaces very well even when there are people unknown, wow.

I think Evegnia suits Alexandre Desplat's music. Personally, I think she suits music that's haunting and poetic. I would love to see her do a fantasy/fairytale piece.

I know that I've already said it in another thread, but after watching the Kukushka EX and seeing how well she skates to rock, I really want to see her skate to Nothing Else Matters https://youtu.be/tAGnKpE4NCI. The music is in turns both light, delicate, and beautiful, then heavy and passionate, and I think the lyrics are quite fitting considering her recent decision to trust herself and move halfway across the world to pursue a dream despite those who would reprimand her for it.

If we are talking about what music or program we would like Zhenya to skate to, I'm gonna say I REALLY want her to keep the past theme (death and tragedy) as that theme would go sooooo well with the music of Pan's Labyrinth. I think the character of Ofelia relates so much to Zhenya!!!! It would be beautiful
To be quite fair, I believe Kukushka was an exception for her to skate to... Plus it has a heavy meaning behind it that spoke to her personally as she is Russian. I don't know how much Metallica would speak to her but... now that it is not Eteri and co who choses her music... we will see... anyways if you wanna see skating to metal/rock check out my fellow countryman, Ivett Toth XD She skated to AC/DC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCstbbXbDQg

I like Zhenya's heavy themes, so I would be fine with it if she kept them, but whatever direction she wants to go in is fine.

I was wondering - we know Zhenya will probably do either AC or Finlandia, but what about the test skates in September? Is she going to go even though it's not a competition and it's a super long journey for her?

I thought the same yesterday. I hope she can skip this long journey because it will cost her trainingshours and a lot of energy. Highly likely the RusFed will understand that.
