Phew. Okay, I finally made it through all 82 pages of this thread. The sleep deprivation caused by a baby who’s constantly hungry in the middle of the night gives me plenty of time to scroll through threads with my one free hand.
I feel like I will be spending a part of my summer vacation running around outside the main TCSCC rink, trying not to get arrested, as Yuzudaughter lurks around in her Sailor Moon Halloween costume, fangirling not just one, but two of her favourite skaters ever.
She’ll be over the moon (pun intended) to hear Evgenia is training in Canada with Yuzu.
Funny thought I had: can you imagine Brian Orser back in 1984, with his silver medal around his neck, ever in a million years think he’d be wearing a Russian jacket at competitions 35 years later? :yes: Ahhhh, politics. How things have changed.

One of the commenters clarifies the context: "I was on set yesterday and something funny happened. Everyone got up on the first place spot, then Averbukh came, set down on the second and said: 'All of you are Olympic Champions and here I am with silver.' Zhenya picked up on it, immediately got on the ice and sat down next to him. Everyone roared with laughter."
Some wholesome fun and no bad blood between Med and Aver.

OK, I will elaborate. It's you who say Eteri is bad. I say she's not and neither is Zhenya. I don't see any reason to take sides and defend Zhenya/slam Eteri or vice versa. Zhenya made a brave move and I wish her every success. Too bad she couldn't find the guts to talk openly with Eteri and preferred to evade any contact. That was wrong but sometimes good people make wrong decisions. Eteri felt betrayed by her favourite student and lost her usual composure. She said some unpleasant things about Zhenya (details are unclear since we didn't see her interview or another first-hand source). On her part, that was wrong too, but again - good people may be wrong sometimes. That's just life (which is never black and white).
There is one thing which thedude stubbornly ignores: he like many others here at GS did not watch the videos with Eteri students talking about Eteri or he wasn't able to understand what and how they spoke about Eteri. Those who were all know what I mean: her students may say she's strict and demanding but it's impossible to not see how much they respect and admire her. Of course it's a lot easier to recycle the old BS about "scared and starved children" with the fellow haters.

Apparently, Eteri gave an interview to Russian tivi again (first channel it seems so). It will be broadcasted today and the preview isn’t very nice. She said something like Orser is hurt by her team’s success. Lol

Eteri is totally ridiculous at this point. That's extremely childish.
TAT- so ugly from her part to dismiss totally Eteri... at the end, she likes it or not, Eteri had excellent results.
Again? What's wrong with her?She's like a mean, spoiled child.
I think it's from the same older interview, just other cuts... i don't find anything wrong in what she said... It's in her style to get motivation this way.

I have not read the interview or the promos, so I am going totally from what was said in this forum.
If it is your style to "get motivation" by disrespecting other coaches or claim something ridiculous like Brian Orser, who couldn't care less about you, is hurt by your team's success?????
You need to find another style of motivation....

Well, I'm assuming that statement is based on recent skaters' results. Based on that, Brian IS the best men's coach. So? I would bet the mortgage that he is not staying up nights worrying about Eteri. She should emulate his example and speak as an adult, not a child.
