I assume ATS arranged it, but can't imagine it going through without KSU approval. Don't see them saying no as long as they don't have to spend any moolah though. As for spots, I keep seeing people predicting who'll get spots based off the WS and SB lists and by the time we get to Eunsoo, there are no spots left? I have no idea how the process works yet either.

Yeah, I also think ATS is the one who poured money to get her to the US, so I'm still not sure whether KSU will "lobby" enough for her to get the 2nd spot. If she can have 2 spots though, the most probable events are Skate America and Cup of China, no?

Dabin had two last season right? She withdrew from one but if Dabin got 2 wouldn’t Eunsoo get 2(?) or will they spilt it with multiple Korean skaters? I’ve never payed close attention to the GP rules before; my favs were always there (or knew why they weren’t there - i.e - Yuna that one year where she wasn’tbothered.com) and I never had to Nancy drew like this lol
Also another question - what’s the point of 1 GP assignment? Experience? Cause obviously there’s no way to make it to the final without 2

GP spots aren’t split between skaters from the same country but are allocated according to WS and SB rankings. Also skaters perform in 1GP when they can to get points for WS

Yeah, it’s just experience. I guess some people give up on the final and just hope to skate on the big stage. To answer your first question: yes Dabin got 2 spots, but that’s because she was guaranteed 2 from the start due to her 2017 Worlds placement.

Since there’s a lot of confusion about the process, I’ll go on a brief overview of it. First, the federations choose their host picks, which can be absolutely any skater that represents their country, even someone who didn’t reach the TES minimum. Next, all skaters who finish in the top 12 at the recent World Championships are guaranteed 2 spots. After that the top 24 on the SB list all get 1 spot (even if there are retirements or season skippers within the top 24, ISU still takes just the top 24 at the moment). Then they give the top 24 onto the WS list 1 spot and follow the same rules as above. Now, all the regular procedures are finished, and the leftover spots are filled in by anyone who the federation wants to invite from any country, but the skater must be in the top 75 of the SB list. So there are a lot of choices, and the federations generally prefer to choose the skaters still close to the top 24 SB, or the famous foreign skaters, because more people would come watch and thus the federation would get more money.

Eunsoo new gala ( will br perform at ATS! ) is Havana! It seems perfect to her. I can’t wait to see her new gala😍

I'm SO excited ror her in ATS and for her new programs next season... anyone have a hunch as to what style they might be? I really want her to do a tango or something latin. :) and then maybe an empowering OST.

Her costume designer recommand about it. She will fix it right away. So lets wait and see how it fixed:)

I figured that she must have only gotten to Korea like a couple days ago so yeah not much time for a brand new costume if her designer's in Korea. I want a completely new costume though. This one hides her lines though looks decent if she stands still.

Some people are saying that the routine might have been choreographed by Akiko Suzuki? I can see it! And I do think the choreography itself is pretty fire, especially the 2nd half though I'm worried for Eunsoo's spins lol. If it is by Akiko, then the chances of the Jeff program being a competitive program rises!

LOL it actually looks pretty good! Where did she skate with the super short costume? Not sure who came up with that :sarcasm:
She skated in it at the same show - Yuna Kim's All That Skate in Seoul. Yesterday/May 20 was the first day of the show, today/May 21 was the second day, and tomorrow/May 22 will be the third and last day.

She did IG live! So cute😍❣️

She will come back LA Wednesday ( after the show ) , and Her new gala was choreographed by Jeffrey Buttle! She made it when she worked with him for her new SP. Already made SP,FS and She really liked this season program😊
Planned to attend Challenger series , and hoped to attend GP either🙏
She seems well adapted LA .

Thank you for the update!! So it's a bit unfair for me to say now and after saying in my previous post people were saying it was Akiko, but I personally thought the EX program was Jeff at first, especially because the 2nd half with all the up and down, knee on the ice action in the steps.:laugh2: But this basically confirms now that Jeff is her SP which is a huge hallelujah from me because I've always been more of a fan of his SP choreography than his FS choreography. Can't wait for her to announce her music and to see them!! If SP and EX are Jeff, what did she do when she met Akiko? I really hope it's a FS because Moa had some of the best programs last year and I reeeally wanna see her do something more lyrical.
