Nathan Chen

That photo of Nathan and Shae-Lynn was taken in South Carolina?

I can't keep up with Nathan's travels :)

I think Nathan did travel to Toronto more than once last year to get choreo and help from Lori.

'Ashley Wagner and Nathan Chen are doing a "Thank You" appearance at Bridgestone hq on 6/22. Ppl will have the opportunity to ask questions and take photos. I don't have any ?s that don't revolve around the awkwardness that was the US SOY.'

If this is really happening - wonder if anyone is actually going to be asking them questions about Shape of You :)

Whew glad the pg didn’t move super fast today as I was too busy to stop by 🙁 throughout the day. Thanks for the sharing and woo more gala goodies from Harlem event!

The other 1/3 choreographers (for the 2nd program) he mentioned is also in Canada, while the other 2/3 have places between both countries, if he didn’t change his answer.

@mamamiia what do you mean, you deserve it! All true Nathan fans deserve a chance to bug him 🤭 I mean, talk to him.

Todd Eldridge is going to be at the new Irvine rink! Interesting.

So he's the other choreographer? Who is he?

He's Sam Chouinard, the great.
kiddding.
I only know him from his work with Virtue & Moir, so I'm honestly happy he's choreographing for Nathan. Is it a competitive program though? Probably, right? It is time.

Interesting choice. I don't really follow ice dance but he's choreographed for a number of top teams. Funny how he's trained in Canton, which is the center of US ice dance, and now he's in Montreal at the center of Canadian ice dance.

ETA: I had a suspicion he was in Montreal because he just started following a Canadian junior skater based in Montreal. Usually he doesn't start following people until after he's met them.

Omg one of my favorite programs was choreographed by him! So excited!!
It is really surprising Nathan choice him. I never thought about this. Look forward to new program so much😆👏🏻

Hi guys! Sorry for popping out of nowhere. I saw someone mentioned in the Edge thread that Nathan has announced he’ll be taking two years off of college after his sophomore year to prepare for Beijing; can someone please kindly provide a link to an article or interview where he talks about this?
As someone who was a Biology major and considered going to med school at one point, I’m very intrigued by his Yale-skating situation. I mean, wow, Ivy and elite skating is no ordinary feat.
Thank you so much :)

Thanks Hollymolly. Disclaimer, one inaccuracy in the news clip about The olympics team event medal. But please blame the sloppy reporting, not Nathan.

@ khtmyzr, Nathan is currently considering statistics for his major while fulfilling med school requirements, even though his favorite study in high school is Biology.

@buttercup2015, thanks for the great news. You make my morning so much brighter:biggrin:

@sheetz, interesting finding, he has to do ice dancing some point of time

Guys, check out Samuel Chouinard's instastory
:luv17:

So Is Nathan in Montreal?:scratch2:

Yes. And Sam is the (mostly) off-ice choreographer in Montreal with MF’s team. He’s wonderful and uniquely creative. He’s worked with V/M and H/D mostly, to name a few.
