Actually I would love to see the opening costume from the first FOI this year again, I loved it on him and Javi (not so much on the guys who got the white version).
 
So one hour has passed since Mezamashi started but no FaOI at all, and now 90 minutes to go :biggrin:

:otopic: I didn't post this since I was too excited about Yuzuru's program, but I'm really looking forward to seeing performances of Oda and Johnny. They both did other Japanese old songs not from Princess Princess, Oda did "Katte ni shiyagare" and Johnny did "Kawa no nagare no youni". I am ready for the laugh in Oda's and so curious how Johnny skated to Hibari Misora's song :)

Having seen Oda's costume (which I really like) and listened to the music (thank you!) I'm with you there.

The tweeted reports re Yuzuru's program, outfit, general joyous fanservice and fun have been so breathlessly "wonderful!" "magical!" etc that I'm getting a bit worried it won't be able to match up...

His costume looks almost the same as the one in the video, doesn't it? I wonder if he made it just for FaOI, and if so, it is such a dedication to the show :)

Love what I've seen so far of the new exhibition program and, if it's as lovely as it sounds, I hope we see it elsewhere too.

Whether or not he intends it as such, I love the ignoring/subverting of the idea that there is one (Western-dominated ofc) Masculinity (capital letter intended) instead of masculinities, which are dynamic and primarily social and cultural constricts. People who police gender, including tying that to what individuals wear, need to broaden their perspectives. It's def OK to like or not like something someone wears, but slamming someone's costume because it doesn't match their gender identity crosses a line.

Note I'm primarily aiming this at criticism I've seen elsewhere.
 
Ohhh! I love the music he chose. Can't wait till we get some footage of it :luv17: Is he planning on wearing every color of the rainbow by the end of FaOI? :laugh:

- Currently, you are on the tour of "Fantasy on Ice 2018" and are traveling around Japan with a lot of Japanese skaters.

T : Show is 3.5 hours, it is the length that I have never experienced before. I was surprised at the length of the show since the longest I had experienced was 2.5 hours. And I saw Yuzuru's popularity in Japan like that and thought it was just amazing. Though it is natural considering what he has done so far. What I think is wonderful is his kind heart. He always cares about the people around him, shows respect and he truly interacts with fans gently. Also, to do the rehearsal with him is a lot of fun. When there is no pressure, he enjoys skating innocently like a child, full of playfulness. I feel he really likes skating and his passion. Still, I can not take my eyes off him when he enters the game. He really has a strong heart. I think his concentration ability when he seriously aims at something is really amazing.

--- Do you sometimes share various visions with him while going around the show?

T : Yes. Even recently, I have asked him about his future goals. Then he told me he would continue to pursue his dreams as he has some goals he had decided as a child. I think it's a very good goal. As a competitor, he seemed to be the most motivated now to make quad axel a success. Once you get the gold medal twice, it is very difficult to find a motivation for the comeptition. That's why I thought it was great for him to have such a goal.

I tried to blame Ronaldo at first (:laugh:) , but it seems Fuji didn't report FaOI due to the copy right issue because NHK was also planning to air his performance but they didn't (or couldn't).

I'm still hoping we'll be able to have some more stuff though :p
