Dark, deep, and sultry choice! Very James/Cipres. :laugh:

Definitely see Rohene's stamp here, and I hope Jason can bring out the emotional dimension in the piece. I like happy-go-lucky Jason too, but this piece calls for styling from a different plane.

I wonder, if 'Dancing On My Own' means Robyn's song, if yes - he will probably go with some cover of it (Callum Scott?). If he would use the original though... :laugh:. And yes to more Grieg!!!
 
Oh i hope he does the Robyn original, that would be SO cool. But you're right, it's probably going to be a cover.
 
I think it'll be the Callum Scott cover. That's basically the first thing that comes up when you search the song name, and a very well known cover. But who knows.
 
So are we really going to have to spend all season censoring for a Jason program of all people.

Maybe we need to pick a unified way to censor it.

It could be worse.

I mentioned in the Jason FanFest that this artist (TwoFeet, who I don't know at all and have never previously heard his music) evidently has a tune entitled "Go Eff Yourself". With another word instead of "eff".

I can think of skaters who may *want* to skate to that song.....:laugh:

Do we have any rules on the names of songs? I am trying to remember. I actually am curious as to what the FCC rules are regarding this. Skating is show often during shall we say "general audience" time frequently, so I really do not know where this word ranks in terms of when it can be said and when it can be shown. And even if it can be said i would not be surprised if Johnny and Tara get told not to anyway by either NBC or USFSA... there are some conversations I'd love to be a fly on the wall for.

I just find it extra funny coming from a skater that always says "ohh my gosh" rather than "ohh by god". I guess the one plus is that I don't think anyone is going to accuse Jason of doing it to be controversial or get attention... just not his style. There are skaters who might elicit some Marge Simpson noises at the song choice and some questioning of motives... with Jason, we just roll with it.
 
For those that might have wondered, yes a skater has used music that has the word "b*tch" in the title:

Adrian Schultheiss (SWE) had this group of songs for his FS in 2009-2010:

Duhamel/Radford had the word s--t in their OLYMPIC, BRONZE WINNING free skate. So I think Jason is fine with b---h.
 
In general I think I don't have yet a strong opinion about the music choices ... there is diversity that is good ... Zagitova choose 2 warhorses ( nothing against ... if you don't have a lot of that ... ) ... a few romeo and juliet ... and yes i want to see if stoskova survive to her music choices ... I think is the only one who trully change their type of programs
