Alina Zagitova

Well, Carmen isn't my favorite opera, but I believe in Alina, Daniil and Eteri, they know what they are doing. With thought-out choreography this can be masterpiece. So end with this lamentation :)

As for the proposed music. I'll repeat myself but I would like to see Alina skating on something connected with folklore. It is improbable that they would choose folk-metal (but I can still hope :) ), but something from Pelageya would be also good for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFAuuaZZ3CQ

Alina's choreo sequence was used as an example for a good match to the music accents in the ISU's webinars about the new criteria for GOEs.

To be honest, I expected to see her as an example for at least one bullet point for jumps or spins but it's okay - showing her choreo, a compliment to Daniil as well.

Her elements that have consistent +3 GOE (under the old scores) are StSq4 and CCoSp4, then she has +3s also on some instances of ChSq1, FCSp4 and LSp4.

I feel like some of her jumps are undervalued on GOE and have plenty of room to grow there, she does them beautifully, on individual jumps her +3s GOEs are on her 3Lz and 3F (the others get +2s).

This is good. She has room to improve in terms of GOE on most of her jumps, she isn't maxed out so her TES score can improve. She doesn"t have to learn more difficult jumps for this upcoming season and can focus on adjusting to her growth spurts, improving her jumps for higher GOEs and working towards keeping the high PCS scores judges have been willing to give her by bettering her composition, presentation and interpretation. This season she can be quite calm as the only senior girls with more difficult jumps (Rika, Liza Tukta) are unfortunately inconsistent but she needs to improve consistency as well. We'll see what she aims at for the season after that. That's when the serious battle begin with all the juniors going senior.
I'm just super excited to see what she's been working on :yahoo:

I find it hilarious, that a step sequence from the first half of the program, which a lot of people on this forum consider "empty" or "boring" used as an example by ISU. I hope haters now understand how silly they are  :taunt:

Don't see the connection. For example, I was not a supporter of 0-7, although it gave the advantage to our skaters. I did not like to watch half of the program only on skating, and the second only on jumping. But this does not mean that the sequence of steps from the first part can not be an example.

I wanted to comment on this but then I say ok just leave it ... but since you mentioned it. So the "toilet break" was worth it...

To be honest this part wasn't that well synced with the music and I was a little bit surprised that they showed her DQ as an example. I would have taken the step sequence from her Swan SP - it was a masterpiece! But still I know that the music "problem" with DQ came only after they rearranged everything at the beginning of the Olympic season, so that she could make the jumping passes at the end, so I can forgive that

And just like you, I expected to see her by the jumps (where she definitely belongs, at least for good air positions with exception of the 2A, imo)

I wouldn't give much of attention to that video with the examples. I consider it bad. I just wanted to leave the comment after russianfan mentioned it.

I guess they rearranged a bit to fit in the choreo sequence but the jumps were 0-7 when she was in juniors, too

Eh, I prefer her previous choreographic sequence she did when she was a junior doing a senior program at nationals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJe-DCSqxDk

It fit the whole "music box" image better.

Yes, as stated on their website, with more than 100 years of experience in making skates. So I guess it's an important brand

Thank you. So that should be significant success for Alina being recognized by someone hundred years old (vampire )

I remember looking for that magazine at Barnes & Noble at the time. Unfortunately I never found it.

I guess FS magazines are not so popular :sad21: Or maybe they were sold out because they had Alinka on the cover. I choose to believe the last option because it makes me happier than the other one
