That picture about did me in. I hope when all this skating madness is over that Jason will have a family with children of his own. He obviously has a soft spot in his heart for them.

He also posted a cute photo of his parents in his IG Story tagged #relationshipgoals.

It's great that Jason got some time to spend with his parents and brother today in what looked to be pristine Chicago summer weather. I'm sure he's not going to be back in Chicago for a while after this trip.

And for totally obscure and unimportant observations, is Jason getting a lot more likes from IG users with Cyrillic lettering? Eastern European/Russian names? I realize on the Internet you can be anybody you want, but I don’t think they’re all making up IDs.

Which means Jason better post more happy pics at the rink with Zhenya

Zhenya has a massive fan base. She has 710k followers on IG. Being BFF with her has widened Jason's audience.

That video where she punches Jason got 60k views, for example. Dang.

We were so spoiled, briefly, by that flurry of postings on social media - I miss it! But no doubt he’s adjusting to the new environment and colleagues and changes in training.

I have to confess, I’m dying to see little pieces of his new programs I wonder if he will keep them under wraps until his Challenger event? I guess after last years two big reveals, being more circumspect is okay. She said grudgingly.

Random thoughts: He looks tired, and almost as ginger as Sean Rabbit!

More random (and probably less interesting) thoughts: I have the same black and pink polka dot head band as that little girl - goes to show my style level, I guess! My excuse: It’s protective.....

Let's all remember that he was supposed start retraining the harder jumps in July. So lets let him work on that. He is likely very focused... and possibly a little frustrated right now. So we may not see as much.

That being said Shingo Nishiyama did request a side by side 3A with Jason, so i would assume his 3A is not looking bad or that would not have been said.

7K finally changed its Instagram bio and as of today, Jason is no longer named on its list of athletes and Courtney Hicks is. I knew this would happen eventually and I thought it would bother me when it did, but I'm not that sad about it. I think that's because I'm excited about his new training environment and the possibilities there. Looking to the future.

Yeah, I'm surprised it took at that long to make the change. Jason's been gone for more than a month now.

I'm digging the new environment at TCC, not just cause of the top-top skaters like Zhenya and Yuzu, but also the up-and-comers juniors like Conrad and Joseph. They are both technically ambitious (both have posted lots of quad attempts on IG) but it's clear they really admire Jason's overall skating and skills. I think it's a motivator for Jason to see these attempts too -- I don't think he wants to be on the sidelines.
And the summer program has a lot of young students, so that must be fun for Jason since it's clear he likes working with kids.

It's a nice mix of folks.

Too cute; but oh how adult Jason looks with the shorter hair and the sunglasses:shocked: I don't know if I'm ready for this.

And I am also sad to see the official "cutting loose" from 7k, for Jason fans it's like empty nest syndrome. But I have also got to say, I am surprising myself by how much I am liking all these little snippets from TCC and learning about TCC, even aside from being happy that Brian would take on Jason.

Maybe I *can* learn to like change

NO HAIR GEL! please. I'd like it to be cut even shorter so that he doesn't have to slick it back for anything, but I'm not holding my breath on that. I wonder what kind of styling tips in general he might get from his new team.

I thought his hair looked really nice a few months ago when he was wearing it back but parted on the side with a side bang. It looked like he was straightening at least the bang and the top layer of hair to smooth them out, but it looked really silky and didn’t seem drenched in product because it was his natural color. I think that would work well for comps.

I have to laugh at his Instagram though - he looks so bad boy, which is not how I usually think of him.

So funny - he loves public transit!

Maybe another benefit or kids program?
