I'm going to have to do something else, but I hope for videos when Yuzu shows up. --This program goes on for a loooong time.

Someone will tape and put it up somewhere, I'm sure: fans all over have been as deprived the last few weeks as we feel...

ETA: Yep, he's on now :luv17:

A boy: "What is your favorite food?"

Yuzuru: "Well, my favorite food is...I like gyoza (dumpling). Who likes gyoza?"

Kids: "Meee!!"

He uses such a soft tone of voice when speaking to the kids.

This is the newly opened school since residents were allowed to return to the area.
100 school children gathered, in fact, since the population has dropped, this school is made up of two previous elementary schools and a Junior High school.

Questions from the kids:
Y: Who has a question? Say 'haaai' Ok, kid in the orange T-shirt.
Child: What food do you like?
Y: Hmm, a food I like, I like Gyoza. Who likes Gyoza? (Pot-stickers)
Kids: Yeeees!
Y: Junior Highschool students too!

Another Question:
Y: The boy in the glasses
Child: During the competition at the Olympics, did you think or feel anything?
Y: You are like a reporter! During the competition at the olympics, I was very nervous, but since everyone was cheering so much I received lots of power and enjoyed it a lot.

Question from a Junior High track and field team member.
Sometimes before running or jumping the body tightens up and cannot move. Could you tell us of a way to relax?
Y: Use your imagination and think, "what will make the body move?" For example, if you are with your club-members you don't get nervous, then have an image of your self at that time. If you can remember a fun time, you might be able to do quite a bit.

As always, if you see an error or find a better translation, please share and comment.

When he does retire from competition (not yet, not yet), whether or not he goes in for coaching, I can see Yuzu using his stature and skills in some sort of public work with children especially, he just connects so well with them. It's adorable....

:otopic:
Sorry for unrelated question but how the new -5 to +5 GOE is working? Is it multiplied by a factor? I'm asking because I see many 5s and 4s, regardless of being right or wrong, for Anna Shcherbakova's 3F from all judges but then the actual GOE is 2.2.
You have to look at the current scale of values for a 3F:
A wighted +4 is effectively worth +2.12 points and a +5 equals +2.65 points. So an overall GOE of 2.20 means, she received many +4s and probably one or two +5s.

As far as I can tell from yesterday's men's short, the GOE scoring is pretty much the same as it was before. In worst case there is a range of 4 GOE steps per element, but in average not more than 2-3 steps difference per judge.
Example: Gogolev's 3A received five times +2, two times +1 and a +3 and 0 once (but the two extremes were cancelled, so it looks totally fine to me).

I'm really curious about ACI and Yuzu's first score sheet :biggrin:

Thanks for your reply Henni, now that you explained I remember those big Tables of different GOE scale published some months ago. Thank you for your time

I'm also very curious to see how this is going to affect Yuzuru.

Ohhhhh my gosh, he is so sweet. His humility and gratitude are as impressive as his skating. He was saying about the ice show at the Sendai rink how he wants to put his memories and feelings from skating there into his performance and bring back good memories for the others as well.

Also, I want to shake the hand of whichever one of those kids let out that ear-splitting shriek when he walked into the auditorium. That so would have been me.

He has to be used to it, but still....:eekn:

Oh, he visited Fukushima! I can feel from the clip he really cares and believes in the future of those kids. Thank you Yuzuru for coming my native prefecture--my mother is from Fukushima and I was born there--, it’s an encouraging act and heart‐warming news :thank:.

You can see how much it means to the people there, of all ages, every time he does something to show they are still in his thoughts always, over six years afterwards.

We get to see Yuzu on TV this evening with his Sendai Ice-show on 24HR TV.
I'm still painting Haru Yo Koi because SOMEBODY has not shared their new programs!

Oh that's gorgeous! Haru Yo Koi has inspired a lot of beautiful artwork, thank you for adding to it :luv17:

I am trying to remind my fretting "why are we still waiting???" side that he has to give is the program music and costume soon, at ACI if not before! (and no Yuzu, we will NOT accept that they aren't ready and can you do it in your underarm.... oh hang on  )
