Junhwan Cha

OK, I don’t know why, but I am missing the mushroom hair now :hopelessness:

:rofl::rofl2::rofl:

Believe it or not, I actually felt the same when I first saw his new haircut! But I will give Junani time to grow into his new do and wait to see how he looks all dressed up in a costume. Right now, he reminds me of a schoolboy. :biggrin:

I feel like it was iconic, but like with Yuzuru's mushroom hair I DO NOT WANT IT BACK.

And omg I can't believe he met Bae Doona. I love her.:love:

Ok, if you use Yuzu as example, I have to agree :laugh: (But Jun is a more fashionable mushroom.) If he is away from Korea long enough, he will grow back the mushroom, that I am sure.
Now Jun only have skate Canada, any news about him going to other Challenger cup? (I can’t read Korean, so getting his news is a bit tough for me.:palmf:)

As for concerns about Jun's height, Pluschenko andAlexei Urmanov (first man to land a quad in competition) are 180cm. Also to be honest, I don't know if BOrser would have taken him if his parents were really tall, like over 183cm. Plus, Jun has very narrow shoulders. So in summary I'm not too worried for Jun :)

I loved the new haircut, with the “mushroom” hair I was always worried if he was seeing which direction he was going on ice. :laugh:

About his height, I would not be worried too. He’s tall but he seems to have great proportions.

Here is the video of the Kolon Sports Event, where Junani spoke from 2:13 - 2:17. His hair does seem to look better on video at 0:28 - 0:33. Can someone translate what he said?

P.S. For English tweets about Jun, Nana is pretty good at providing updates on her "cute son" :biggrin:

He says, "as a kolon sports model I will work really hard. Please cheer me on." The whole video is just about the new collection.

Did Junhwan get hurt or something?! The only info I have seen on Twitter are the ads for the Korean Education Office.

I only meant his injuries since last year, which were quite serious(but has since recovered from those.)- they were due to his growth spurt, I believe. Just hoping he's stopped growing so drastically since we last heard of it in late april, where it was reported he was 177cm.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. I didn't realize he grew so much and rewatched some of the Ice Fantasia videos. Vincent is 173cm (5ft 8in) and I always thought Jun is shorter than him. But maybe it's his baby face and mushroom hair that gave me the impression since he does look a bit taller (with the fluffier hair) in some angles.:biggrin:

This is getting ridiculous. I suppose Cha and his team anticipated that he may not get a second assignment for various(and obvious) reasons, but wow. Prime example of life's not fair, I guess.

Cha has shown to be a strong rival and this is only the beginning for him, Im sad that he only got one assignment when his results are better than that, and he was next on the list, but oh well what can we do. Lets wait for next year, Im sure he is going to get 2 spots. With time he can be a top skater.
