2026 Four Continents Championships Women's Short Program

Oh Mone, I thought she would loosen up after landing the combo and the axel, but alas her face before the lutz was a premonition :(

I hope she can get a sports psychologist help before the Olys (and beyond), when she's nervous it's very obvious on her face 😬 I'm afraid it impacts her PCS score....

So my predictions are a bit of a mess, but I am happy for the gals who overachieved my guesses. Hoping Sofia and Jia can have a better time in the free - they are killing me...

Wow, Mone really got a gift with that score of 68.07 for that cautious and messy skate. Yes, she has great skating skills, but her jump quality, emotion, and musical interpretation was very lacking in that performance. I enjoyed Gabby Daleman more and feel she was robbed of a small bronze medal for the SP. Daleman herself is no slouch in skating skills; she skates with lots of speed and ice coverage and she was clean. This all came down to reputation scoring; typical ISU political BS! 😡

She is learning the hard way right now. She needs to put her fight for her goals and not let her fears get the upper hand. We know she can do these elements - she needs trust to be greater than fear.

Mone is the most purely beautiful skater in the discipline at the minute. But her nerves (and I empathise, mine let me down at loweringly wrong moments) are her bete noir.

I wonder if there is additional pressure on Mone and Shun, being as they are in the mix for the Olympics and also from Sendai. Japan only has the two OGMs in figure skating and both are from there...

Make it three Shizuka Arakawa also earned a gold at 2006 olympics and the only one in japanese women's field to this date.
Shizuka was one of the two I was thinking of (Yuzuru being the second). Who have I forgotten?

oh so you mean OGM as Olympic gold medalists not Olympic gold medals i am sorry my mistake there 😅 you mentioned it with relation to Sendai so i misunderstood my bad I apologize.
Aren't olympic gold medalist and olympic gold medals same thing unless ur talking about olympic gold medalist ( are u talking about overall or adding in short free , team , because they hand out for them too)and gold medalist. (Which could mean any competition
Those smaller gold medals not as much attention by media just fans not affiliated with members of sport
