It's soooo respectful of Yuzu to have held back because Nijinsky was Plu's iconic program. It's like will other skaters ask permission to Yuzu to skate to Seimei or H&L in the future? Yuzu is simply so courteous. Everything he does speaks pure mannerisms in the highest aspect.

And wow. Nijinsky! I cannot believe it even now. It's such a dramatic program, and we know how good Yuzu is with dramatic programs!

I think we might get a documentary as well, before season starts. A 2 time Olympic Champion challenging quad axel makes for better drama than regular soap operas

I am not excited about the music choices. He can do better and we have seen him do better and was looking for something more original from him. I dont want to play the comparison game with him, and there are a LOT of music out there and he is more than capabilities to do them well, and then he chooses songs that is not original and being common, when he doesnt need to.
I was hoping more from him, and a bit disappointed about about these choices.

They might not be "never been used before" but they are not warhorse music. And who are you to decide which music is better like "he can do better" because? Not a fan of both Plushenko and Weir. But the music itself is not a problem.

Interesting music choices from Yuzuru.
Not warhorses, not beaten to death pieces, not dozens times reused programs. I mean, how many of us (who aren't neither Weir nor Plushenko fans) will directly think of J.Weir/Plushenko's programs while listening "Otonal"/"Origin" (respectively)? At least he's not skating with some tango program, which were very beloved by Evgeni.

I think it's gonna be two beautiful programs. Especially LP with Bourne, this very beautiful piece of music and Yuzuru's skating. And in SP J.Bottle going to try some new style, different from previously choreographed SPs. And I'm sure they will be "Yuzuru Hanyu programs" in the end of the day

You guys must be all too young to remember that Otonal was one of the most overused music pieces in figure skating for years and years. It is one of those well forgotten warhorses. Old fashioned too. I'm not a fan of his music choices for the upcoming season. I get his reasons but boy oh boy this should be a hard season for me.

On the other hand, if you're a newer FS fan like me with no connotations or baggage, the music choices are great. The FS will be suitably dramatic, I'm sure.
