Nah, not how he functions, he'll just push it lower. The 4Lo will stay. 4Lo and that scarily short entry to it :shocked:


Anyway, if he ever gets the Lz back, he'll just add it too. He probably wants a program with one of each (minus the 4F). So a 4A 4Lz 4Lo // 4S-3T, 4T-Lo-4S, 3A-2T, 3A but with the ankle it's an issue.
 
Who cares if they are warhorses? Even if Yuzu skates to Carmen, he can add his own color to it. He is that unique. And the way he expresses music is unparalleled in my opinion.

And knowing how much Yuzu skates dramatic pieces like Nijinsky so well, I wouldn't be surprised he may break another WR with this FS if he goes clean even under the new IJS system.

Yes, I'd be happy if he'd choose Carmen. Carmen has a lot of colors by itself. And Nijinsky will always, always be associated with Plushenko. Always. So... if he'd skate it as a tribute as an exhibition- no problemo. As a competition program- always in comparison with Evgeni the Great. Questionable choice from this perspective.
I am shocked to say the least. I've been a huge fan of both of his idols in the past but I just cringe to the sound of these music pieces. That's my honest opinion.

Sheesh, am I the only one who liked the costume that Weir designed? At least the new one will make Yuzu happy, even if it looks like a lot of fans won't be...

Must say though, I already like the program from the clips I've seen. Seems he and Shae will be incorporating lots of little leaps and jumps into the steps and transitions, which given his ease with jumping, look wonderful. It looks more like a tribute to ballet and Nijinsky, so I'm okay with it. =D Can't wait to see the whole thing.

Also, we haven't heard the full music clip yet- with the time reduction, and from what the clips show, he probably has edited the music quite differently from Plushenko's version of Nijinsky, and well definitely not the same as the LP verison of Otonal from Weir.

Yes, very Plushy to me and yet also very Yuzuru, it's gorgeous. Shae is a genius.

And the last spin is def a drawback to Plushenko. But with the time limit - which he says is harder to skate as it's made skating busy - I do think the cut will be different, and interesting.

I’m good with both choices. :) I loved Johnny’s program, I have no doubt Yuzu will make it special, he’s very good (if not the best) at it.
The fact that he skates for HIMSELF now is great! No matter the opinion of others, it was what he wanted. Beside, the fact that he talked to both Plushy and Johnny about it shows (once again) the respect he has for his idols. :love:
I’m also ok with Johnny designing his costumes, if it does happen (though we don’t know about that, I have to admit I doubt it, but we’ll know soon enough).

EDIT: oh surprise! The Olympic channel is talking about Yuzu and 4A :laugh:
