Interesting trivia, now I am curious to see what the playlist of that channel.
He probably wanted a place to save and review performances just in case the hard drives fail.
But icloud can give that to him just the same.
He probably uses a private account now. Yyskater also has a private account on twitter and instagram [emoji13]

If I am Yuzu, would I be using a username so close to my name for my private account? placing a "skater" will be the least in my list

Random comment. The supposed yyskater on Youtube is apparently Yuzu's private account. And since it got leaked he stopped all activity on that account. I checked this morning to see if he uploaded season music like he did with H&L in 2016, but he didn't make the same mistake twice [emoji23].

There are so many rumours of him with different accounts on different social platforms in Japan I wouldn't really believe in any of them.

"Yuyu" might be a typo, but it doen't look bad in Japanese context, because the first character of his kanji name can also read "yū"/"yuu" as a verb which means "to tie, tie up etc.", can't say the same thing about "Zuzu", maybe it's OK as a nickname but felt like unfamiliar sound in Japanese, at least for me😉.

Though I don't know if Naomi has much knowledge about kanji.

Also there was the same name panda; Yūyū in the Tokyo Ueno zoo before, so "Yuyu" sounds a little bit like Chinese or pandas' name to my ears😃.

I can't believe NHK came up with such a bxxxshit article. If anything, Yuzu used to be the victim of this kind of situation (Japanese National 2012). And no, shoma's fall had nothing to do with yuzu or yuzu's fan:frown: And like Yuzu said, even if shoma didn't fall, yuzu would still win.

Honestly, there was very little in common with any of the mentioned competitions other than they were highly publicized and anticipated events.
The circumstances, finishes, and stories of the competitors are so different it's a stretch to try to equate them at all, I feel there is some strain in the writing that is trying to tie them together needlessly.

The athletes involved are admirable for their grit and determination...but that's about all they have in common.

The author also made an error in recounting the skating order after Yuzu --which changes the tone of the story.

Not something that one needs to be overly angry about, but lots of comments have pointed out the inaccuracy so I hope that at least can be fixed. (The error has since been edited)

With the edit, and I think maybe some other lines were changed as well, the article is pretty innocuous, praising the runners-up for their kind words towards the victors. In each of these competitions though, winners were all kind and sportsmanlike in victory too. ;)

the article makes it sound like Shoma lost Olympics because of Yuzu fans and pooh interference (which is nonsense , he did not skate after Yuzu in the SP and FP, not to say he didn't win competition even when Yuzu wasn't there) and he could have won had he not fell (again not true because of the marks difference)

Although Interspectator said they have edited the "mistake" already, why am I not surprised its another article about Shoma with an "error" in it to downplay Yuzu's achievements. I am sorry this is not directed at Shoma, but rather his PR team, because this is not the first time this has happened. Once might be a mistake, 3-4 times it's like they are trying to hope the mistake don't get noticed and people believe it or something (the worse offence being 3 or 4 newspaper claiming Shoma is the 2017 Worlds winner before the Olympics). Luckily Yuzu has lots of fans that can point out the mistake quickly, but a casual reader might never have known.

Yuzu's PR team (well he doesn't even really have one , he is not signed to any agency, ANA is his sponsor not agency) never writes anything bad or in "error" about other Japanese skaters, I wish they give him the same respect.

Shoma's season's best/personal best would have been enough for the win (he's scored 319 twice and Yuzu won with 317), but he had other minor errors besides just that fall. That said, he's skated well directly after Yuzu before (in 4CC 2017 I believe he had to dodge Poohs before taking the ice, but he went on to have a clean SP skate). And he skated well in the Olympics too, so I don't get the logic. He's a formidable competitor.

I think Yuzu answered before in an interview that even if Shoma didnt fall in the Long Program, Shoma would not get enough points to overtake him due to Yuzu's lead in SP. Yuzu did the calculations and decided on just 4S & 4T. Otherwise, he would have done the 4L.

In any case, Shoma doesnt get nervous easily. He watches the other competitors skates, unfazed. Though Shoma did go thru an adjustment period of the pressure being Japan's main man during Yuzu's injury.

I love them both how could writers do them dirty?
Though its corrected now still it made an ugly mess.

Maybe is NHK´s machine, after all this year is Uno who is going to that GP... I´m guessing tickets in this GP are already sold out?

It’s sad that Yuzuru doesn’t have PR that could clear things up whenever a misinform article is written about him. 😪

There was no need to calculate as they already did it for us in the arena showing on the jumbotron that Shoma's SB would have been enough :confused2: . Of course Yuzu's Helsinki total score (along with 2015 NHK and GPF) would have most likely shut that door but we know that as good as the free was, there were points left on the table (only 2 combos, 4th quad not even getting full value on top of a step out, and then of course the step out on the lutz).
