Can I please remind everyone that this is a thread to celebrate Zhenya, not what Eteri or Alina think of Zhenya.

Alina thinks very highly of Zhenya. In her interview Alina said that no one works harder than Zhenya. I think, we have all the rights to believe to someone who knows Zhenya closely and not to someone who can't even read interview without their own wrong interpretation.

Sorry... I intended to chill things by giving the story and making the point that the news media seem determined to promote the 'angle' of difficult emotions.

I do feel that every time one of the two, or their coaches give an interview, there are a whole bunch of writers in the formal and informal media that just want to escalate the story to a feud.

And we'll have something to see very soon from a reliable source. AIC starts in 3 days...and Ted Barton is flying out from Vancouver to cover the livestream.

I really hope Ted will give us an English language interview with Zhenya as part of that.

I hope Zhenya's grandmother will be in Canada this week for the comp. She always went to all her competitions.

I hope not! Zhenya's fringe (aka bangs) looked extremely cute at test skates, and I thought they really suited the SP!

The Ladies have practice ice scheduled tomorrow from 17:03 to 20:08 for the SP, and on Wednesday from 17:14 to 20:55 for the FS.

The practices are supposed to be livestreamed, so we'll have that at least. I'm going to ACI, but only for Saturday, so I won't see Zhenya live.

I thought the practices would be livestreamed also.

But when I just checked the event page on the Skate Canada website there is a message popping up "NEXT LIVE 20/09/2018 16:00" which would be the start of the pairs SP. And I see the same on Skate Canada's DailyMotion channel.

It honestly astounds me how people can twist the words of a freaking 16 year old girl into something evil. There really are no boundaries, are they? Alina is a nice and polite girl and need I remind everybody that Evgenia herself defended Alina on Instagram so I‘m sure that she would NOT approve of us talking ill of her. Talk ill about Eteri, by any means, I don‘t care. I generally don‘t approve of talking badly about anybody but at least Eteri did some things that would justify questioning her. But Alina? Come on. Don‘t drag her into something. She really doesn’t deserve this.

This being said, let‘s move on to something else:

Same Call me shallow but personally, I‘m more excited for her costumes than anything. It‘s been what since the test skates? A week? Her programs have time to grow.

Someone else can probably provide a screenshot, but it was very recently, I think under the photo where she announced her programs for this season. Someone commented with something like: "Oh yes! Alina is going to sh-t herself!" and Zhenya answered with "Watch your mouth".
