Eunsoo is the biggest threat this season. Most host countries would tried their best to look over her.

This is just absolutely ridiculous at this point.:/ If Eunsoo isn’t at SA, I’m gonna be so mad. What’s the point of doing challengers and winning them when feds don’t want to invite you because they want to protect their own skaters??? There should be a rule that if a skater on the replacement list wins a challengers and there is a spot, feds are required to give it to them. Otherwise, skaters are better off pretending they’re not gonna be a threat.

Weren’t there rumours that SK was offered the chance to host it? Maybe they turned it down? It’s a lot of money hosting these things.

KSU is a huge mess especially with their speed skating scandals so they weren’t in any position to host. Such a shame because their ladies are getting the major short end of the stick when they’re doing so well this season.

They wheeled & dealed. USFSA has already invited three Canadian entries off the replacement lists. And Starr lost to Pineault at Autumn Classic. I was afraid SC would dig down and try to find someone with the potential to finish below their new host picks. It's a pattern we've seen with their ladies' invites before.

Actually, I don’t think this is them trying to protect their ladies, but a quid pro quo for Reynolds and Chartrand getting SA earlier.

omg why are people over reacting? Its literally up to fed if you are not guaranteed 2 spot and dont get 2nd GP. Better go to Worlds and place in top 12 so you can have 2 GP guaranteed or if you are from junior debuting in senior place yourself in top 24 SB so you can have 'almost' guaranteed 2 GP. dont complain to fed, we are lucky Eunsoo get 1 spot even though she's not guaranteed any spot at all.

It lowers the competitiveness of the field and gives the power to big feds which has already been a huge point of raised eyebrows at the sport as a whole. I’m afraid I don’t see why we can’t complain about a bad practice.
