I consider myself a huge and longstanding fan of theirs. As a longtime contributor of this thread, I have always avoided talking about anyone else than our beloved Gaby and Guillaume. It is not about you. Look what happens on FSUniverse. What people say in P/C thread." I love P/C , but ..." .They all "love" P/C , but they spend most of their time on other thread ,loving everything what has to do do with other team...but posting from time to time in G/G's , making posts what they should do and how, saying that they re fans of P/c of course, they are lovely blablabla BUT they must change style, because(...) Those posts which praise French , they dont like at all and they dont make them by themselves at all. Like Emdee or sap5 . They just say what they has to do if they want to be like ( you know who) They just like the posts which defend the other team. This is not acceptable . Noticed how alain was treated lately when he started talking about Gadbois and other teams, How many people came around(experts of the subject , supposedly fans of p/c) immediately liking posts of those who disccused with him and had other opinions about M.F D. and the other peculiar team? This is fan thread for gods sake

Yes, I know what you mean such a long wait ... I just hope they'll be happy with the level of readiness for their FD. They have experienced many ups and downs in the space of their very short senior career so I feel confident they can't be caught unprepared anymore. If there is one positive thing to take out from the last 2 difficult years of competition is that it pressured them to be the absolute best they could under any type of pressure and circonstances. I also believe being so young still, they will progress more.

Not sure about the FS music. I feel it's almost too flat and plain for them. While I very confident about the RD, now I am freaking out about the FD. Like you I wished they'd go for something fast, dynamic, ecclectic or lively. So I am just going to focus on waiting for the RD

Already in my playlist. I absolutely love those two pieces so full of tension and longing. I have a feeling I will like this RD at least as much as I loved their Waltz. I posted this in FSU too but here are the two possible pieces I found for the FD based on info from Alain:

I share your love for Piazzola masterpieces, not so much the Gidon Kramer choice. I’m sure they could have found some more special versions but, ok, I can easily stand this choice. I expect to enjoy ( and even more) the RD. Even though it is an expected choice of music, their talent deserve such a beautiful and powerful music.

Like some of you have dare to admit it, I remain more sceptical about the choice of the music for the FD and the 2 tunes you just brought here, don’t make me feel more safe and sure. I totally understood the idea of skating on guitar, but in the world of guitar there are thousand of more interesting, creative, beautiful pieces. Neither Rachael’s voice is so special when the field of folk music is full of outrageously beautiful voices. And if the choice was folk music, same thing, there are hundreds of more beautiful melodies. But folk music is rarely happy and joyful, I’m afraid. Why did they have to decide so quickly (that is what I read) when they had months to listen pieces of music? Choix par défaut ou choix de cœur?
Well I try not too panic because they are some kind of magicians but I must say that just now, I don’t feel over confident. If the choice of Odduada was adventurous and didn’t please everyone, it was an interesting, special, and beautiful piece of music. The choice had sense. But miss Yamagata choice still remains a mystery for me... just now. I pray for apologising for this in 2 weeks time.

It is a piece of the P/C puzzle for me that, maybe with the exception of Odduada, they don't seem to be extremely involved in the process of finding their own music. It puzzles me because they are minutely involved with the rest of the process. They live and breathe the music but don't seem to take their inspiration from a specific choice. Tell me, if I am mistaken.

I' am thrilled and terrified. . Some 19 "fans" on P.C thread out there say that G/G were worse in that famous olympic night because they have gotten much less audience reaction from the people then the "other" couple. LOL Because they gave worse impression then "the other couple" . Because the other was the better. And in the same time they admit that that other couple has HUGE fan base in Korea (because of yuna kim of course , but no no one can say it loud , it must be only their talent). So audience there was NOT biased , of course. No way. I got it right? I am just frustrated, sorry . How can one say that peculiar copule was overall better and they gave better impression because of audience reaction who were only there for one team , and no one else? Caandians were there, americans , not only koreans. French - almost none. So thats normal that south americans teams had louder cheers. Even Shibutanis had bigger one then P/C.. So Shibutanis were better then french? Seriously I cannot described how some biased fans are crazy. I feel sorry for them And they cannot figure that out. Thats logic...But if they want to convince themselves like that.. So what about german couple.. Savchenko / Massot? Their FS was amazing and the audience?? they were laughable. It seems they didnt even know what they have seen actually. But if we rate by people reaction in the audience we could say that was only good performance


And no one says that canadian team bought anything , north koreans were NOT there becasue they wanted to How dumb some ot them not to understand it. They think they love canadians??and they knew THAT EVEN v/m existed????? They dont have the internet, youtube or even TV!! ALONG with SOUTH koreans they cheered for v/m because South was doing so.. THEY have been told so!!! there were a lot of empty seats out there... They let them be there to fullfil the audience. Canadians not needing people to have stading ovations so they dont have to buy anything has nothing to do with it. Audience like Canadians only because of yuna kim. The audience didnt care for other couples from europe. Even Savchenko/Massot. They got standin ovation not because they were only couple to deserve it , THE reason is the audience 80% biased koreans and 20% north americanshahahaha) .. YEAH thats why they got it, you "fans of P/C" . remeber who got better standing ovation in helsinki????? I was there . Without any biased people, mostly europeans from WHOLE EUROPE??? Oh but you seems to forget it, right??

Well, I'm certainly ready to see some action from them. The program has time to grow. But their movement and skating should bring enough excitement and joy.

No we don’t know anything for certain. We are just trying to find out what could be their choice in Rachael Yamagata repertoire. We should keep quiet and say nothing but it is hard to wait so long. On the other hand, revealing things now, would appear as a lack of respect for the couples competing in SA or SC, I guess. A small bit of video before the Grand Prix season, would have been nice for our nerves but maybe they are right, not too pick up a bit when there is a coherence in the program as a whole. Well, we are just desperately “en manque” because we are in a way, some sort of drug addicts to P/C, well I am, I confess.

I got interested in figure skating after I saw their Moonlight Sonata FP from the Cup of China 2017.
Their movements are absolutely beautiful. No other Ice dance couple moves like this.
They always have unique music choices which also sets them apart from the rest.
