So I'm pretty sure that it was on this forum during Lombardia (?) that I saw someone refer to Shoma a "chicken man" due to the general preponderance of feathers on his costumes. I mentioned this to my coworker (who knows nothing about skating), and now every time he sees me watching skating, he asks, "Is chicken man there?" and when makes me give a report on the number of feathers Shoma is wearing. He was very disappointed by my current report.

... Uno Shoma's costumes have mostly disagreed with me, and this purple one is not an exception...

Brendan's going to finish almost last with one of his best skates ever, isn't he.
I’d put him above Roman, but Roman should outscore Brendan on some of the component marks. Brendan was better than usual, but he’s a very stiff skater and his music seems to overwhelm him. I have absolutely no idea what that programme was about or what he was trying to express, and he isn’t a naturally musical skater. On top of that, his combination was noticeably stiff, lowering the max positive GOE, and not many of his elements can really be awarded more than +2... I don’t think any of them can, honestly. And as a final nail in the coffin, he skated relatively early.
He wasn’t underscored and being toward the back of this particular shark pool after a clean short is nothing to be ashamed of. Realistically, he needs other skaters with his scoring potential to make mistakes for him to move up. The first flight went clean. That’s just how it is some days.

IIRC Jason was supposed to try a 4S during ACI, but he doubled it. The layout he gave for today was all triples (3F, 3A, 3Lz+3T).

The 4S is in the free, not the short. The short has always been all triples.
