So happy for Liza and so pleased to she kept going over the past few years. She deserved that win!
 
Yaay for Liza!! Shame for the fall on the 3A and no 3-3 but she proves nonetheless that she‘s here to stay! :clap:
 
Who will she face at NHK? I think she has a good chance of continuing her gold streak if she improves her layout (adding 3F back in for instance) and lands her 3A.

A pretty tough field - Kihira (battle of the 3A's! hope to see Liza ahead though) and Miyahara and Mihara. Other Russian is Sotskova (Radionova WD). Eunsoo Lim as well.

Okay, that seems tough indeed. Rika and Liza have the same problem: lack of consistency on 3A. Which is understandable of course, it‘s a terribly difficult jump. So it will be interesting to see who prevails. Masha, as much as I like her, is still a question mark. She URs a lot which could prove to be costly considering the current judging at the GP. I have no idea about Eunsoo’s state. Miyahara is Consistency with a capital C of course and she‘s a home favourite. Her jumps despite gradually improving are still smallish and Liza deserves A LOT more GOE on hers. But Satoko wins in PCS by a margin. So it will be interesting to see. Mihara is a lovely girl if a bit unspectacular. She‘s also very consistent, though. So, overall, Liza will need to be really good and clean. Miyahara and Mihara rarely make mistakes, they‘re home favourites. Rika has her 3A and also the home bonus. If Satoko gets called on some URs however and Rika falters, Liza could definitely snatch the gold. But it‘s more difficult than I‘d have imagined. But a bronze would be enough anyway for GPF.
 
Well, TAT is over-dramatizing as usually (thieves, come on.. :laugh: ) but the 3A could really have got more GOE. It was glorious in the SP, it looked so effortless I thought she was doing a double for a second.
 
Two judges gave her -1 for 3A, so this time I agree with TAT :frown: "They're thieves!"
