I already mentioned this in Alina's thread, but I find nothing wrong with it. It's a harmless joke. People talk about the battle between Zhenya and Alina all the time and even with her 3As Liza obviously knows she's going to take a back seat to the drama that people like to create between those two. No harm done and all in good fun.

I know she’s joking and it doesn’t really bother me except for the fact that there’s not really a battle.
Alina is lightyears ahead of Liza and Zhenya right now. Zhenya will close the gap a little as time goes on but I don’t think she’ll catch Alina unless she makes mistakes. Liza is behind both of them. Evgenia only finished 6 points behind her at SCI despite being back 14 points in the short and losing 10 points in tech in the long. If Evgenia cleans the problems up she’ll be back in the 140’s, maybe nearing 150. Liza has such low PCs and the triple axels don’t do much.
The real battle in my opinion will be Alina and Sasha at RusNats.
Liza is behind both of them.
I strongly disagree.
Liza's scores this season: 206, 202, 203. 3 Gold medals.
Zhenya's scores this season: 204, 197. Silver and Bronze.
"IF" is still an if. You can if a lot of things. IF Zhenya brings back her Olympic programs and skates them clean and perfect with better jumps now that her injury healed, she will be ahead of clean Alina. Shall we say that Zhenya is ahead of Alina because if she does that, she will beat Alina?
When Zhenya skates clean, she will be ahead of Liza. For now, Id say Liza is a tiny bit ahead of her.
Triple axels increase TES, so they do something. Each clean 3A is about +4 in TES.

Looking at the skating and the programs they gave Alina it's unclear to me
why she's still been scoring close to 160 in the early events... (I mean, I have a couple guesses)
Hopefully by the GPF the scoring of the Ladies will even out and make more sense.
I took this as Liza commenting on media and fans who had tried to manufacture a conflict between Alina and Zhenya, and that she planned to ignore public commentary and focus on her skating.
Which is what Alina and Zhenya seem to be doing as well.
Frankly, the way she showed solidarity with Zhenya at SCI, tells us how to interpret this.

Yes, the biggest question is if. We can’t be sure of anything.
However besides the triple axel, Liza’s TES is lower than it could be. I know she’s working on bringing back the flip and making her layout harder.
However Evgenia is not going to bring back her Olympic programs (I wish because I loved AK). The only thing we can really say is that a clean Zhenya will beat a clean Liza, but at the moment a clean Alina will beat a clean Zhenya. Will this always be the case? Who knows.

For me there is nothing disturbing. You know, this constant opposition of Zhenya and Alina (inflated by media) is so annoying. That all thoughts are only about them, that all comments are only about them. Literally everyone gave their invaluable comments because of Zhenya's 7th place in SP. But none (from prominent people) said a word of encouragement to Liza about fall on 3A in FP, although she is a winner in this competion and by the way she is comeback too (only in global way). How many of us joked that Liza had to make a striptease, so that the media would talk about her. Liza sees and understands all this perfectly and ironically jokes about this big picture.
and right now, Liza with mistakes beats clean Zhenya. So right now, there is no ground to say that Liza is behind.

Then let me use a living language. I am an Anglophone, but my French today remains pretty good (I hopeI was semi fluent at one point, but alas, no more). I do not say Brétagne among English speakers, no matter how natural that name feels to me rather than Brittany. It would seem pretentious to me, even if I have know French for almost 50 years now.
But that is me, and I do not import my feelings onto Johnny. That is why I said “who knows”
That's a funny example to me. In Dutch Bretagne sounds more like the French. However, when I speak English, it seems weird to me to use the English word, so I use the more Dutch/French way of saying it and then mumble in an awkward way: 'I mean Britanny'. With the Cicero thing I am the same like you. When I first learned Latin, I would say it with the hard c sound as my teacher emphasized how wrong it was not to, but I felt I came across as pretentious and stopped. (I probably came across more like an idiot than pretentious, though
). With most other things, I would use the way I have learned it in another language, not to sound cool but because it seems weird to say it otherwise. Then it becomes awkward when people think it's pretentious, when it really isn't meant that way.

Not at all. She's just joking and making fun of herself at the same time.
The post after that reads:
"If someone don’t understand - a lot of post here for fun. I love communicate with people and throw funny puns. Don’t read moral to me if you’re accepting all so serious."
That should make it perfectly clear what she's intending.

Yeah they also spell Plushy's last name with an extra 'y' in there somewhere on NBC, it weirds me to read it for some reason
Although that spelling does make it easier to see how Medvedeva is pronounced I guess.

well, no hate against Yulia (I love Yulia actually) but isn’t skating on an injury a lot more uncomfortable than just a cramp?

My recollection is that she's been listed as Sambo all the time - presumably this has to do with her switching after the permissable transfer time, and thus they get credit for her. Or something.

Right now Alina is the only "whole" package russia has at the senior level. Tut is not doing well pc wise and Evgenia seems to be struggling technically with the new body. It is too bad Pogo and Maria can't get it together or Polina T. Great chance before the invasion next year of talent. However despite these challenges Russia other than Japan is looking pretty good.
