Alina Zagitova

TheBallerina - I didn't recognize you at first. Very beautiful new avatar.

Thanks a lot :thank:

Since I first saw Alina's POTO performance at the ice shows I was soooo moved by this final pose, by her emotion and expressivness, and since then I waited for a good quality photo of this pose, in her beautiful dress, for my avatar picture. And here it is

It is indeed too early to worry. As we've seen she managed to score 68 with a popped combo, which is really good. Serious competition is not until the GPF where she might have to go against Medvedeva (incredibly consistent when she's on) Tuktik & Kihira (3As). She has until GPF to get more confident and we know what she can do when she's confident :agree: It's really just fine for her first GP event to not be perfect. She looks really good in practice so we know at least it's not something else.

I think the most important competition this season for Alina is worlds. It‘s the only title she‘s missing. She can totally win it if she peaks at this time. GPF is also important, of course but worlds is more, I think. She can easily repeat her GPF title too if she is in shape. Evgenia, as much as I love my girl, is focusing on reworking her technique, I don‘t think she can beat Alina this season. Tuktik‘s PCS are too low to challenge Alina, even with the 3A. Rika is a threat and I think Alina needs to watch out for her. Satoko also shouldn‘t be underestimated, she has tiny jumps but she is incredibly consistent. All in all, her chances are pretty good for a GPF win and Worlds title. She‘s looking strong. That mistake on the 3Lo was just a fluke, it‘s bad luck and it happens sometimes. Better now than later in the season! ;)

I need to say i'l thankful for you guys in this thread. You managed to help me calm down and stay positive. Alina is one of the skaters i am very emotionally attached to and people are not that much positive about her on other platforms unfortunately, and since i know nobody who follows FS in real life (well i know a girl but she doesn't like Alina at all lmao) i'm always by myself  It feels great to have this small community here :luv17:

Tomorrow is another day. :agree:

Well actually until her FS, the 2 other kids who also give me serious anxiety (Hanyu & kihira) are competing so i'm not done worrying this week-end :drama:

You don't even know what you lose :cool:
Finley, you are a too good person for me. Are you a guy? I wanna marry you if so:luv17::rofl:
And I hope someone will quote this comment, because I want you to see it.... especially if you're a guy.
P.S. Flanker should be happy cause now it's not only Eteri and him :yahoo:
GS works miracles
:)).

OK I think I'm willing to sacrifice my personal matters with Eteri for the benefit of other members of the forum.

+ 10000 to this .

I remember that after the FS from the test skates I was so sad, but we shared our thoughts about that performance and suddenly, everything became better. This fan-fest and all Alina's fans that write here are a true blessing for my FS fan heart, because I am in the same boat, I don't know anyone who watches FS, although I'm always in Alina's Witnesses Mode and I show everyone videos with Alina's performances.

Today I am not sad, because I trust Alina and I know that she's an ambitious, determined and hard-working young lady and she can overcome any difficulty. And even when bad days happen (because they do happen, that's just life), we can know that she'll always give 100%, that she's a fighter and we'll always support her, no matter what.

I'm not a guy but same sex marriage is legal in my country now so there won't be a problem.

Questions. I have them - Are you rich? If so, how rich? Preferably Russian oligarch levels of rich.

What about marriage to a Martian?

Could be a possibility....

We are not really sure at this time who we are dealing with:confused:

What are you guys think on alina's PCS, for me i think she deserved it,not only that she's the reigning olympic champ but her whole performance is not that bad afterall. I think her reputation as an outstanding skater gives her the leverage just like kostner. Just my opinion

Well, let me formulate it this way: her PCS shouldn't be based on her Olympic medal, she doesn't need some sort of a special treatment, no skater has to be treated this way because this only ruins the sport. I am really sorry but I can't just agree with the first part of your argumentation. :noshake:

On the second part of your question - was her PCS deserved based on this particular competition? Yes, totally. :agree: She did her transitions as difficult as they are, in and out of the 2A and the 3F. Her StepSq was very good, spins on point and overall presentation was pleasant, too. If I hadn't seen the beginning with the mistake on the combo, I wouldn't have guessed that something was off - this show how well she managed to cover her nerves after that.
