Here's the BESP with Chris and Simon. When you're in You Tube, just type in Shoma Uno NHK 2018, and several videos will pop up. NBC is airing some coverage tomorrow, so they might not post their videos until after they air their coverage. Not too sure about CBC. I think Tatiana Tarasova is screaming in Russian on one of them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i22PEEostK0

Shoma’s interview this morning.(partial translation)

Keeping the components of SP where he is having difficulty with his 4T: He wants to dig deeper on how to control himself when he feels pressure. His coach said he may.

With the new rules: There is more penalties for failure.
He feels he needs to get his elements consistent. His 4S is a risk, because even if he lands it is UR, but if he gets it consistently it will be a great weapon.

About the 4Lo, he feels he needs to start on it. The 4L is really nice when he succeeds but if not he would pop it, and it is taxing on his mind and body to practice it. He’d like to get his 4S consistent first.

Difference in mindset: He is starting to expect more from himself, which leads to more disappointment or kuyashii feeling than last season.
