Evgenia Medvedeva

Brian and Tracy are going to be in IdF with Evgenia, right? I hope she's in perfect physical condition in IdF - minimal (or no) jetlag, etc.

Wait - so is Brian just meeting her there?

The first practice is Thursday at 15:45 so I would think she flies latest Tuesday. Poor Brian. It may make sense for him to stay over rather than fly all the way back to Canada only to leave so soon.

Ideally, Brian would go straight to France tomorrow with an ice rink arranged for training and Zhenya fly in early. But that might not be a viable option.

Like Nathan (who was in the audience at Rostelecom) and Raf....

In a recent interview Liza is briefly asked about Evgenia:

At the Grand Prix in Canada, you beat Evgenia Medvedeva. Was it fundamentally? Was it a matter of principle?

– No, I didn’t think about it. The main thing was to show my maximum, get on the podium. Zhenya and I actually have a good relationship. After the competition, she said that I did well, congratulated. We had a very nice chat. Previously, we didn’t talk much, but now we have learned more about each other.

Do you support her in the decision to change the coach?

– Completely. If I were her I’d do the same.

Why was Nathan Chen in Moscow? Isn’t he in school?

It's almost Thanksgiving in America so maybe A) he has this coming week off of school or B) he took 2 days off of school (he'll already have Wed-Fri off of school because of Thanksgiving, if not the whole week)

He's on Thanksgiving break. It started Friday and goes through next Monday (Nov. 26th).

OK, completely off track from Zhenya, but wow have times changed. An *entire* *week* for Thanksgiving break? :eeking:

That didn’t happen at Yale, or anywhere else, 50 years ago (walking barefoot uphill both ways in the snow to class:laugh:)

Now back to Zhenya:)

Thanks everyone for the new episode of "How can Zhenya make the final?" :D (little off topic but I'm happy that Kaori's chances increased too, I'd be really sad if only one of them makes it)

I'm on holidays next week and IdF is in my timezone so I can wach it live and have a few mental breakdowns

I just can't watch my favorite skaters live and when I do I feel like I can't breathe sometimes... yeah it's that bad. Sometimes I watch it but with one eye closed and kinda looking away as if that helps anything.

I could barely watch the free skate today at CoR. I don't think I will be able to watch in France. Last time I didn't watch Zhenya's SP but I was online. I saw the competition chat turn into a bunch of frowny faces and I knew.

Hopefully that won't be the case this time.

Ugh, I just love Liza so much and damn, that comment just made my day. Glad to know both she and Zhenya are becoming better friends, they are two of my fav Russian ladies and I hope all the best to both of them.
