Basically very dismissive of Alina's accomplishments. A passive agressive way to insult someone by ommission.
Does anyone know what she had to say after the Olympics. This is the first time I've seen anything by her.
Did she give her any credit then?

What did Utkin say this time?
BTW - I saw on twitter that he "tagged" Alina in his nasty post.
I guess this means it informs her that he posted about her.
So - not just a random "shock jock" thing - he wanted her to see his nastiness.

This just keep getting more upsetting by the minute.

to Kostomarov - no idea who you are either and you guys won't get a google search out of me, she grew, she grew 7cm, it that enough for you?

Slutskaya - third no idea who you are is the charm (nope, not googling either), with a name that starts like yours I'd be really avoiding getting into any fights with foreigners, free advice is all you are getting out of me

Well, I lost all respect for her doing that. The bar for "itchy & scratchy" is set low. They are like the National Enquirer.
She is a world class athlete that has probably been the object of speculation and rumors herself.
It was shameful, mean, juvenile behavior.
And then 2 weeks the later the hypocrite is all smiles in that group picture from Stars on Ice.

First and foremost - any and all death threats by anyone against against anybody need to stop immediately. (Not that I think anyone in this forum is making threats.)

I feel like Utkin was trying to get that exact reaction.

Slutskaya's opinion doesn't surprise me. She is entitled to her opinion whether I like it or not. I'm sure she wouldn't like my opinion of her skating.

Kostomorov disappoints me very much. I remember him posting a picture on his IG with Alina after the Olympics. I don't understand why he would now turn on her? :(

I am surprised by Kostomarov's comments ... i think it's the first time I read that he commented something related to ladies.

I feel like these death threats are not coming from real Alina fans.

There are a lot of crazies. The head of Khrustalni talked about dealing with crazy Medvedeva and Lipnitskaya fans. One he had to detain and ended up sent to a mental hospital, that was how bad it was.

Once again with the death threats????
Whoever does that should be sought after and prosecuted!!!!

I'm beginning to think this is not FS driven at all, but Russian Media driven.

First you have Utkin - Alina's fans are idiots (he has nothing to do with FS?)
Then you have the obligatory death threat - thus proving Utkin theory correct.
I hate all of it.

From the timing & tone of things - I strongly suspect that they fear she may upset another "narrative".

It may be hard to believe but they are not doing it to her, they are doing it to the top lady in the world, the current Olympic Champion (only current one they'll have for another 3 years, and the next one might just be her again), the current top Russian lady and the girl who podiums in nearly all her events (in just one she missed the podium, in all others she was Gold or Silver) for the past one and a half years. That's 9 Golds, 1 Silver and one off the podium finish.

They are not talking about any of the Juniors right?

They only talk about the top senior.

If I cared about their opinions I would feel sad for them.

Just an important PS about the ugly threats and stuff like that: my advice would be for them to go to the police and nail these crazy people.

These were my thoughts too...I can't really understand any of this, how can they treat like this their best lady skater, who brought home the Olympic gold for her country? Is there any "hidden" purpose? Someone behind all of this?

They are always so supportive with other skaters, but when it's about her, even at the slightly mistake, or even when she doesn't make any, they still speak so bad about her. :sad21::sad21:
 
I ve read the interview of Kostomarov. He doesn t say bad things about Alina:
I am sure that Zagitova remains at that incredible level, which she has reached recently. Another thing is that the Japanese began to perform crazy jumps, including Rick Kihira. Yes, and our Elizabeth Tuktamysheva manifests itself vividly. They all jump triple axel and in the case of a successful performance naturally ahead of Alina, ”said Kostomarov in an interview with RT.

The Olympic champion is also not sure that the Russian woman will be able to complicate the program.

“Zagitova does the same thing she did a year or two ago. But rivals do not stand still and do a little more than the Russian woman. Alina is an Olympic champion, but not sure that she will jump the same triple axel. In general, female figure skating progresses at an incredible pace. Some girls are already jumping quadruple. But Zagitova is still a beauty and a champion. Nobody will surpass her beauty, ”Kostomarov added.

1) None of the top juniors are a potential threat to this season's "narrative".
2) Yes the death threats should be investigated FULLY. This one and the one against Mr. Trankov's family.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is the same person doing it.

I think you are 100% right.

Just because I don't understand what retired skaters have to gain by dismissing her and her accomplishments doesn't mean there isn't an agenda they are trying to further.

Unfortunately, it just makes Alina's fans that much more frustrated and angry. And, even more unfortunately, it empowers the random people who enjoy being spiteful towards her on social media.

Hopefully, she just lets the lyrics of Survivor burn into her brain like a mantra and gets stronger from this. There is nothing else she can do until she is ready to walk away from it. And it's way too soon for that.
