Interesting.... a virtual tie between Senft/ Gislason and Navarro/Bonmentre, another between Virtue/Moir and Davis/ White, and less than a point between D/L and B/A. A lot is going to be riding on the OD. Perhaps we'll see some nerves?

Most likely. Hopefully Charlie doesn't fall like he did at nationals

See you guys in a bit for the Pairs SP :)

Hmmm, fairly predictable results, apart from Senft & Gislason finishing ahead of Nav/Bom.....

So Reed & Reed in 7th? They sound very Japanese! :p

Yes, and they have been competing all year on the junior, not senior circuit, which meant at nationals they had to debut an extra minute of FD. I'm sure now that they're going to senior worlds as well, they need some time to beef and up and practice that extra piece.

Amazing! As I've just been checking the SC site, and it was in the FD I see that they moved up to 3rd.
Also looks like Levefbre & Markov's career is going nowhere....

Continuing the daft comparison.....;)

V&M - 7th at Euros
B&A - 4th "

L/M have retired, I believe, following their disappointing showing at nationals. Weaver and Poje were a huge surprise for third. As well as only competing this season on the junior circuit, they have not been skating together long.

Thanks for the update. L&M arrived in a blaze of hype, but never really lived up to it. I thought they were very disappointing at this season's GPs, so I guess that's an understandable move for them, maybe coaching beckons?

Looking forward to seeing the new Canadians at Senior Worlds. :)

BTW anyone know what the story behind Reed & Reed is?

Oh, no - Davis-White on 3-d place - poore V/M - its looks like they didnt need come on this competition in USA.

I don't, but I too, am curious. With names like Chris and Kathy, I seriously doubt they're actually Japanese. I would guess they are/were American or Canadian.

Continuing the theme from Euros, where we had Canadian/Greek icedancers, and American/Lithuanian icedancers, along with Czech/Italian Pairs.....though only in the first instance did the couple rely on one parent's heritage, the other teams had one partner from the country they represented.

All US teams are 2 to 3 points below their scores of 2 weeks ago, but that is to be expected I guess...

I wouldn't make too much of that. The U.S. judges and the ISU judges don't necessarily mark on the exact same scale. Comparing the element scores fromone competition to the other probably has the most validity. But not the PCs.

Main omen for Wolrds will be how D&L and B&A end up.

I believe that their mother is Japanese and they have dual citizenship.

Yes.

Perhaps you could post when the reports are up on your site, hopefully Sandra Stevenson is doing the Dance for this event. :)

I see that Belbin and Asosto are behind with Davis and White in third! good for Davis nd white!! Gregory and Petuhov are not here? I think that Belbin and Agosto will have to settle for silver. The cansians have a beautiful freedance, and that will be enough to get them the world title. Belbin and Agoto can't seem t make that last step upi to the top of the world podium.
