Jason Brown

In reply to all of the above: Jason himself mentioned that TCC was working on his technique and specifically mentioned head position without further elucidating. I noticed the difference in posture at SCI. He is taller, back is straighter and the head is being held in a more consistent position. It aligns his spine. I danced ballet for quite a few years (not professionally) and I am very aware of the relationship of head position to spine position. If it's not aligned, everything aims at the floor. If alignment is where it should be, jumping and pirouettes just sort of happen when you do them. Everything is lined up and up you go. That's what I see happening with Jason. It's different on skates, but the physics is pretty much similar.

As for placement at Nats and Worlds: who knows. Vince was really rocky in international comps last year, but skated pretty well at Nats. Nathan pulls it together and should win. Nathan goes rogue anyway, so not sure how much being away from Rafa's ice makes a difference. I think it showed up more in the short than the Free. Nathan kills it in the free. If Jason can kill it in the free, even without a quad, the conversation will be different. But if he stays healthy and keeps improving, he should be on the podium. This the goal of his TCC training. World's will depend on who is skating. If Yuzu and Shoma are in top condition, it is highly unlikely for Jason to medal, but I can see top 6 or 7. His goal is to get to World's and get 3 places for Men in 2020. These are reasonable and attainable goals.

For me, though, seeing him happy and excited, seeing him integrating into the TCC community, and seeing him feeling more confident is everything! When Jason is happy, he skates well. I so happy that Brian understands him now and values him. Having Tracy AND Brian believing in what he can do is huge.

Yuzu, as far as everyone can make out, is a sweetie, but he is also a cryptid nerd who spends his free time in Canada in a cave studying ankle ligaments and playing video games. Club social secretary he is not. And I say this as a devoted Hanyu fan

Jason is a social sunflower who wants to hug everyone, love everything, and gush about it, it was kind of inevitable that he become 'mayor.' I dunno why I worried about how he would fit in, honestly.

This I agree. As a new FS fan imo Jason's strong point is he is realistic but in the same time optimistic. He knows what to work on, sets the goal and gives the process enough time.
And his positive mindset adds to his motivation. He has the talent, it just needs polishing. As Brian said, let's give him a year and half because he deserves it.

Wow, 24! Do y’all remember him tweeting about how he was turning 20 and leaving his teens behind?! :)

Jason liked my tweet for his birthday. That made my day. He probably liked everyone's tweets, but I'm still happy that he liked it and that he saw it. He's probably spending the weekend with his family.

Happy 24th birthday, Jason!

There's lots of fun sketches and fan art. Check out his IG tags or #HappyBDayJason on Twitter. :)

It appears Jason is in Nashville with Heather and Emily, acc to Emily's insta. Happy Birthday, again!

Ping Pong? Boy sure knows how to party hearty on his birthday;)

He's in training.:) And ping pong rocks!

And from Jason's post, I see they sprang for some balloons and a banner; clearly there's a party store in Nashville.;) Glad to see he was able to have some fun :)
