Audiences at 4CC

I was told newspapers and local TV/radio. I also saw some posters that have been up in the area. I was told advertiding started several months ago.

As for the question above about weather, it has been very mild here. A few traces of snow on the ground, roads clear. Daytime temps in the mid to upper 40s. Not too cold at night either.

It might be in the Spings:agree: But Denver Metro, a couple of adds in the paper. Seen plenty of 2009 Nationals adds and SOI (still bumming about that miss) but "squat" on TV. Basically, you would have to make an effort to see or find info on 4CC in Colorado Springs.

Just curious, the first sentences sound like you are not there, and the second set sound like you are? Where are you?

I am in my hotel room looking out at the beautiful weather here in the Springs :-)

Going out now in search of provisions. The food in the arena is terrible and shockingly expensive -- worst I have seen this season. The Spokane Area was so much better in that regard.

Can't balme USFSA though, they did try.
I'm not for blaming either, but if they tried, they need to look at their efforts and figure out what failed and what they DIDN'T do. I'm so bummed out that lowering ticket prices didn't help - hope they don't yank them back up or I'll never be able to see a big competition.

So true. Totally off topic, but for those intereseted in a few pictures, I finally found the time to post competition photos on my site.

sorry camera geek coming out in me

what equip do you use for your photos, if I may ask? :)

What I find odd is that more tickets were bought then what numbers actually showed up? Makes me wonder if b/w the buying of the tickets and the event something turned off fans from FS or something? Maybe ppl were unhappy w/ the outcome of nationals?

I honestly understand the low turn-out. No Oda, Takahashi, Johnny, Yu Na, or Mao- the only skaters there I'd like to see are maybe Buttle and Alissa.

ot's only 5 dollars a ticket? thatt's great Nationals was much more and they got a full house for every event!

I was there. The turnout was very low for the events on Thursday/Friday daytime, but there were a lot more in the evenings and on Saturday (Although nowhere near full). I imagine a lot of people bought all-event tickets, but couldn't come to the earlier events because of work or school (if they were local), or because they couldn't arrive until the weekend (If they were visiting). It was great to have the kids there for the ODs.- they were very enthusiastic. (Thank God they weren't there for the Pairs short, though!)

I highly doubt the outcome of your nationals had any influence on who attended. Just what outcome/skaters whould they have been expecting that didn't show? Johnny hasn't attended 4ccs for years. (if ever?)

And attending were Shen/Zhao,Pang/Tong, Meissner, Buttle, Lysacek, Belbin/Agosto, Dubreuil/Lauzon, Suguri. More world medalists than ever before.

I think it was more a matter of location and timing than anything. Pity. People missed a good event.

No one has a clue here that it is going on unless you follow FS.

That's just the problem Sean. Just like SOI doesn't come to Omaha because all we gave them was 2/3 arena full, yet there was no advertising.
