What a rollercoaster ride the last 18 months have been. But I'm so incredibly hopeful for the future. Plus Zhenya looked so happy since her free skate.
 
I missed her exhibition. How was she? So glad she seems happy. Davai, Zhenya, we‘re with you!! :)

That‘s so great!! I‘m so happy that the competition is ending on a positive note for her. It‘s crazy, isn‘t it, to think that we‘re so happy about a 7th place for her now. Last year we would have gone crazy had she ended up 7th anywhere. But I feel like we‘re growing with her as we‘re taking this journey and personally, while I always want her to medal, just to see her proudly standing on the podium and singing the anthem, I most of all want to see her happy. And then I don‘t care which place she takes. I‘m so proud of her this season, it was a difficult one but also a very important step for her future career. She and we alongside her, have learned many important lessons. Thank you, Zhenya for letting us experience this emotional but important journey with you. :)

Leave it to these two to make the whole Russian lady's community go crazy as he'll [emoji23][emoji173]lol. The only thing needed is to at some point mend those bridges between eteri and zhenya. I hope that at some point in the future we can see it

Eteri and Evgenia making up is unnecessary. Not every relationship you have will end happily. They will be cordial and beyond that who cares.

Alina and Evgenia being friendly is cute and to be expected given their personalities. The Alina + Evgenia = Russia sign gave me life.
 
I'm so proud of our girl coming out and slaying everyone in that free skate in which she was the highest placing senior even with her fall with a rain down of the roses and her unrivalled support from the crowd with them chanting her name. She has that brand new combo in the salchow loop which was amazing for her to be able to land like that as well as her triple loop being back to its usual strength. As well in that ex she was amazing and that ex is growing on me every time I see it and its nice to see that she's still friends with the younger Eteri juniors who she was standing with in the gala.

Before we get annoyed about Universiade or even start thinking about Russian Cup Final though I do think that Zhenya should get her back checked out again and now she has time to do that as if she does need to get something radical done like an operation (Plushenko I think had the same compression fracture which was treated only by a surgery) or just take a few months off to rehab to let it properly heal she has time now as even if she has to wait till February or March to start skating again fully she won't be behind any skaters who had to do a full season so she might be better of if she takes the rest of the season off to rest and regroup.

I do think though that she should skate her competition programs for next season if she keeps Tosca or replaces them both at shows though this summer just to allow her to get really comfortable with them under pressure instead of her just performing lots of exhibitions so that the performance and the jumps become second nature by the time the season starts in full.

I selfishly wanted Alena and Evgenia on the podium for cute pictures of my faves! Thank you for this! They really are both such beautiful performers.

Point proven: It's a 4-year marathon for anyone there. We'll see the result only at the end of it; patience is key there...:pray:
(Note: Got caught up with the recent Alina/Zhenya story, it's more a former athlete-coach relation which is the issue. No such hard feelings between club mates, that's a recomforting sight.)
