Whohooooooooooooo Kimmie Wins
Nerves of a champion indeed
what a poorly skated event. :sheesh:

there are 6 different triples including the triple axel and you are only allowed to repeat 2. That means if you arent doing the triple axel the max triple you can do in the long program is 7, but theres only 7 "boxes" for jumps (for the ladies) and you have to have an axel type jump. Conclusion : If you want to do 7 triples you have to do a triple/triple combo or sequencewhat? I thought the max. allowed triples were 7 regardless.
Can't some folks lighten up a bit? it was sort of a joke...
Good point. Was this a mistake or a crafty tactical move by the Hughes team? Since the new judging system is all about statistics - do you think the new way of coaching elite skaters is to weigh the odds of landing the triple combinations against falling, if the previous skaters tank on their jumps?
I can't believe they are giving Kimmie all 7s. They should show Alissa & Kimmie on a split screen doing spins,, spirals, Choreography, ect. Kimmie's skating skills are way elevated for what she is doing.
Great work! Thanks for those of use who can't see it in person. I appreciate the time and effort it took you to keep updating those posts!

Cause if she does 2 steady 3/3, 3 more triples, 2 double axel and a three jump combination somewhere in there, she scores more points than 1 steady 3/3, 4 more triples, 1 double axel and a three jump combo included in there.ok, so why doing 2 3/3s would help Kimmie then?

A triple triple combination would give Kimmie a higher TES and translate into a higher component score by the judges. If she doesn't do a triple axel and the Japanese women do - the 3/3 could help make up for that.
anyone know what jumps Cynthia did?
